  1. Sherlock has been disappointing but last night was the best of the three. Someone else on another forum summed up my thoughts exactly with this.

Not keen on the Metal Pebble, new Meta Watch looks nice though.
  3. I thought I was the only one. Lose on Saturday and I was in a bad mood all weekend. Tonight I am pretty much, well so what I just won't watch the news. Sooner Lerner **** off the better. Apologises for the bad language.

So clearing in the woods on eBay claims it got lost in the post and refunded casdh so back looking again.
  5. That's exactly as I see it. The club will now be repaying the owner back until he has the monies owed to him down to a level where he can sell with out losing money. Now there are strong rumours that BT and Sky will work together to make sure that the next TV rights sale doesn't cost them too much money or possibly lose out altogether which neither can afford. This does mean of course that Lerner cannot guarantee that there will be another huge TV payment to help him out.
  6. I normally pretty much on the same page as you Richard on so many things but on this occasion find myself at complete disagreement with you on this. No apparent tactics, no plan a let alone plan b, the list of players performing way below where they were last season, new signings adding next to nothing to the team meaning he pretty much wasted fees and wages and would hate to see him bring in more youngster with potential next month. I am sorry to say he needs to go because we are going into the Championship if he stays.
  7. As someone else pointed out he could have spent the money and wages he had this summer on buying two or three players who would have improved the spine of the team a la Southampton. Instead he appears to have tried to sign as many players as possible in the hope that two or three worked out. A gamble he didn't need to make.
  8. Anybody else had the issue of the play store disappearing from the app drawer on Nexus 7 (2012)

To fill the time until Google bring out their watch I won a Metawatch Frame for £7.00 and I am now waiting for it to come. There does seem to be some quite decent watches either out now or coming out at some decent prices.
  11. I'm thinking of upgrading my Nexus 7 to an LG G Pad mainly because it has an 8.3 inch screen and also because there is now a GPE out so can update the ROM and remove the LG bloat.
  12. Could any other manager have our starting eleven more organised, better prepared and use the balance of the squad tactically better........I think that is not out of the question but the point is mute as the onlybway Lambert leaves is when Lambert decides he is going. Lerner simply lacks the balls.
  13. Absolutely spot on. Lerner will kill this club.
  14. I have 4 powerline adapters in the house and they are bloody fantastic.
  15. If you look at the time Lerner has been in charge it is only the first 2 or 3 seasons that he spent big money and since then he has pulled that right back, mainly because he was pumping the money into keeping the club afloat. While only Lerner and Faulkner know what his intentions at this point is I doubt he will ever embark on the folly of throwing his inheritance at any kind of player purchases. Following the info posted a couple of weeks ago along with that today about the shares it looks likely that Lerner is hoping he has found himself a rich backer for them to invest.
  16. After all the hype I was disappointed in Gravity last night but still an 7 out of 10.
  17. A general question to those who think that Lerner will start backing the manager again when all the bigger earners are of the books. WHY? As I see it he has pulled back the purse strings and is now entering the phase of running the club at as low a cost as possible so he can start to pay back the loans he made to the club until he gets to the stage where he can hope to sell the club without making a loss on it. I was told 18 months ago by someone who would know that Lerner was looking to sell the club but it appears the numbers didnt stack up then.......I wonder why?
  18. While continually changing the manager is pretty much guaranteed not to bring success there is no reason to think that blindly keeping a manager will be a guarantee either. I have been majorly disappointed in PL on a number of fronts and can see no reason so far or us to "stick with him". Lerner and Faulkner will no doubt have no plan of action apart from keeping their collective heads down until the summer and keeping their little fingers crossed that we do not get relegated. Lambert will go when Lambert decides and not before.
  19. N7 (2012) has had the update about 3 days ago, my N5 is still waiting.................................................. Really like the look of the LG Gpad with the 8 inch screen. The overall size isnt much more than my N7 so still very portable. Why wont Google release the GPE version in the UK...barstewards.
  20. The level of debt the club had under Doug apparently didn't stop him being able to sell the club, sadly the same cannot be said of the position Lerner is now in.....
  21. Anybody else tried the Snapdragon Batteryguru on their N5. It does seem to work......
  22. A bit disappointing to find out that the 4G rollout on Three will be in stages as you can bet that the last people to be allowed on will be those on a rolling monthly contract....
  23. Interesting views on both sides. I suspect I wasnt alone in wanting Doug out simply because he wasnt doing a very good job. From where we find ourselves now I have to say I am not sure that Lerner is doing the job very much better. He has saddled the club with huge debts which mean he is not in a position to sell the club which is unfortunate because he quite clearly has lost his enthusiasm if we are to take his lack of attendance as any guide. Now I do not disagree with him putting the club on healthier financial footing but do think he has been very lucky that the way he went about it nearly relegated the club. What I will question is if he puts clawing his cash back from the club before the ability of the club to compete at a higher level than just survival or mid table. If his tenure as owner at the Browns is any kind of guide then I do not hold out any hopes of Aston Villa achieving anything but mediocrity while he in his words is the Custodian.
  24. The Walking Dead is coming to its mid season break after Sunday (in the US) or next Friday in the UK and it looks like another decent cliffhanger.........
