We need a manager who has experience with dealing with big name players rather than being star struck by them. Ok Lambert played for the successful Dortmund team under Hitzfeld but what experience does he have with getting the best out of big name players?

Anyway MYSTERYMAN, I don't care what it takes, build those bridges back up and carry on with the info old boy. Especially about the new gaffer.

And there is your problem with KM. When I have seen the reserves, he is always stood up shouting at the players. A mate of mine played for him at Leicester City Reserves and got bollocked by him a couple of times. It looks like he can give it to soem what younger inexperienced players but is not willing to do it to the seniors.

He has impressed me in patches in both of his games and is being wasted at the moment by being told to sit so deep.

Actions speak louder than words. If you are serious and you haven't given us a FALSE DAWN. Then pull your feckin fingers out and get this situation sorted because you are about to undo the 4 years of progress we have made as a club in 1 season. I think the whole Kevin thing is just a media magnet so Lerner can go about looking for the real replacement without too much media attention.

The way I see it, I think Monday's talk will go along the lines of KM declaring his interest or not. If he does (which is sounding likely because he thinks it's a great opportunity) he will be added to the shortlist and interviewed along with the rest of the candidates. I don't think Randy is that clueless to realise that KM doesn't have the experience as the other candidates which is why a mentoring figure ahs been suggested to work alongside him. One thing is for sure, we will NOT be seeing any new players this window unless KM gets the job because the window will be shut before a new manager can come in.

Hitzfeld's wiki page hasn't been changed back as of yet, it still claims August 27th.

If it is Hitzfeld, that would be fine by me. He knows the game inside out and has plenty of pedigree. If he is unvieled on Friday as it says on his wiki page or next week, then I will congratulate the General personally. But with the recent comments by K Mac sayign he won't decide until after the Toffees then I am dubious about this.

Your response in number 5 sums up the situation perfectly. When were our ticket sales at their highest? 2007/2008 I believe the first full season into Randy's ownership. What did the fans see? New Nike kits, some new player arrivals and hope for a 'Bright Future'. Fans were excited. Since then gates have been on the decline. Why do you think that is? Because the excitement has slowly worn off.

You want bums on seats, we have to be excited again. This is what I want you to show us. I want you to show us that you are prepared to finish what you have already begun, that we are still ambitious as a club and not just going to repeat our boom and bust years. Talk is pretty cheap General. We can all say this is going to happen or that is going to happen but actions speak far louder than words.

I will still go to games and do still have faith but what I am tryign to say to you is that you need to show us the ambition is still there becasue threr are alot of Villa fans who are starting to believe that it isn't. Where is MYSTERYMAN when you want him? Surely he has got some inside info on who is in the frame. Unless both him and Gazton have been kidknapped by the club to keep it all hush hush.

He also played for us and I would have thought would jump at the chance to manage a Premier League side. The problem we have is everyone believes MON over-achieved and therefore don't want to risk being labelled a failure if they don't achieve the same. I however, believe we have a very good squad when everyone is fit and could achieve something similar but it has to be the right person.
