  1. I'm still playing FM2010 but they definitely dive in that. I've got a Hungarian newgen striker who's been booked for diving a couple of times, and I'm pretty sure he's not the only one.
  2. And now Milner's coming on - 4-0 and just a bit more salt to rub into our open wounds. This match needed more than a little Gallic shrug from the bench when we started conceding. GH just hasn't got what it takes.
  3. Oh bollocks 25 minutes in and 0-3, cricket score territory by the end. Our midfield is looking super lightweight despite NRC and Petrov being back.
  4. If there's ever a situation where you need Bannan not to be a dwarf, it's that one.
  5. I thought it was a terrible outing for Delph and not really fair to make him start in such an important game after such a long time away.
  6. Bugger. A well-deserved defeat. If only King Carlos had clattered the bastard.
  7. Downing may have been at fault for the initial killer pass making its way through, but I really feel that Collins should have concentrated better to stay on the right foot and mop up that cross. Where did he think the ball was going to go? Warnock also partially at fault, but less so because he couldn't afford to get tight or else risked getting beaten and allowing an even more dangerous cross. As for Albrighton, I think he's looked busy, but his delivery has been poor and he's looked less well-armed with snazzy ideas than he usually is.
  8. Delph has been anonymous most of the time and rusty-looking the rest of the time. Could be a good bet to have him off as well as Hogg, with Bannan and NRC on as replacements.
  9. Bit confused by this sub. Our best chance so far was mostly owed to Heskey's good work. EDIT: If it's an injury fair enough.
  10. I've got no problem with that red, Defoe was never going to win that header in a million years yet he went in windmilling his arms and ended up smacking Collins in the mouth. **** him. Admittedly I was already pissed off with him after watching the way he was cynically thumbing Heskey in the back before their corner.
  11. Great to see Delph back, I just hope it's not too early for him. I share the worries about Hogg over NRC, but the lad has a good engine on him. This could easily go so wrong but at the very least it's going to be interesting
  12. Catch-22, hoof it out with a safety first attitude and you give them a corner, try to play your way out and surrender possession like we've been doing in other games and they can just threaten us in another way. If we can just make it less easy for teams to find room for cannon-blast headers from corners then it'd help massively.
  13. Wasn't a vintage performance, but it was as good as it had to be. Downing MotM, for the first goal, and for pulling most of the strings in midfield. Albrighton's crossing completed the picture. Heskey played at his best, which was impressive for someone just back. Cuellar really stiffened up the defence and helped Lichaj to build up his confidence. If we can only stop conceding from set pieces we might get a good run of form. Maybe WBA flattered us. They had a lot of possession but really did very little with it, except when they were waltzing into our box too easily from our left.
  14. Bollocks, YET ANOTHER conceded from a set piece. Yeah, Downing for me too. Albrighton has been great in flashes and Heskey and Cuellar have done exactly what we needed them to do, but Downing's been running the offensive part of the show all game in my eyes.
  15. WTF is Sturridge on about, saying Heskey didn't know much about it? Looked well directed to me.
  16. Oh lord, why on earth does Warnock keep showing Tchyoi(sp?) inside as if the fella is no danger at all... It's like he's been told to hold off on his challenges and he's gone to the other extreme.
  17. Why the hell isn't Ireland even on the bench? I'd have him on for Bannan soon, the lad's looked a little off the pace today.
  18. Nice run from Warnock too to get it out to downing that time.
  19. Yeah, unspectacular half, but it's a relief to even get through 45 without seeing outrageous errors or heads dropping. Heskey has played well without showing a killer edge in front of goal, but when does one ever expect that from him. We've only had one or two chances but scored from one. On the flipside, while WBA have cut through us a few times, they haven't had much either. Hitting the woodwork was lucky as hell for us, but it would have been an unreasonably good goal had it went in. Otherwise they've just had a couple of scuffed shots under immense pressure.
  20. I wasn't too enthusiastic about Lichaj in his other senior appearances like in pre-season, but he's doing well, looking really up for this.
