  1. I read that a few years ago. Incredibly interesting stuff. He (Moon) must have been absolutely exhausting to be around. When you hear about some of the incidents he was involved in, you have this idea that they were every now and then. They weren't, they were pretty much daily. I really felt for his wife and the way he treated her. Theres no doubt he was an absolute phenom when it came to drumming. He certainly wasn't a pleasant human being though.
  2. Off for my booster in a minute. I've had mixed reports from friends about the after effects, but hopefully I won't grow another cock or something. Mind you...
  3. I may have to add Far Cry 6 to my list. It's really **** good. If you're a fan of the series and haven't played it then I highly recommend it.
  4. On my 23rd Birthday (a long time ago) my good lady wife bought me Murder Ballads on CD after a friend mentioned it might be something I'd enjoy. At first I didn't really know what to make of it, but then after a few listens the music, the lyrics, and Nicks emphatic delivery of them (Stagger Lee...oh my word) began to click. He's been one of my ever present musical heroes since then. I adore him.
  5. My favourite performance from Gambon. He's absolutely, brilliantly vile.
  6. Scarabus! Scarabus? I prefer some Fandango... sorry I've had a beer at lunch.
  7. Used to love that when I was a nipper.
  8. I used to find it depressing, so I now make a point of getting up at a reasonably early time, planting myself on the settee and having a day of watching some of my favourite movies. Always works a treat and I now look forward to it.
  9. Many years ago, when Kiddy drew West Ham in the 3rd round of the FA Cup - I designed the match programme. Always had a soft spot for them (Harriers) after that.
  10. Watched it tonight. It's not too bad actually. For a 'geezer' type movie it had a decent amount of emotion and Fairbrass managed to give the main protagonist a basic level of sympathy often missing in this type of film. Thought it lost its way the last 20 mins or so but yeah, watchable enough.
  11. The Eluvium one is because Virga is my 7am-9am soundtrack most mornings while I'm still waking up and can't handle anything too obtrusive and loud. Great album tbf. 1,878 different artists I can understand but 140 different genres?...such twaddle
  12. I tend to just go by (full) UK release on IMDB. Sound of Metal for instance shows as a 2019 movie, but didn't get a proper UK release until 2021.
  13. Still a few weeks to go so there may be a couple of additions, but these are my top 20 so far. Very decent year imo.
  14. That's a good one for this thread actually. I often wonder how the **** Hale and Pace every had careers in 'comedy'.
  15. Started listening to him after hearing 'Broke'. He's right up my musical street at the moment, really good stuff.
  16. Mortall Shell is excellent. Takes a bit of time to get your eye in with the 'harden' mechanic (Ken.gif) but once it clicks it's a really good game.
  17. Tyldesley...kinell. Those **** inflections on his voice...
