Yeah it's a top film, I can highly recommend PTA's other work (Boogie Nights / Magnolia / There Will be Blood / The Master / Punch Drunk Love are all exceptional)
Amazing to think it was the acting debuts of both leads too.
Nice busy cinema week for me. Tickets booked for Parallel Mothers (new Pedro Almodovar movie), Belfast and Nightmare Alley.
All reviewed well so looking forward to them
Good summation @leemond2008and one I broadly agree with.
My main two gripes were similar to yours:
Apart from that I really enjoyed it. Its still one of the strongest horror franchises out there and I'll be booking a ticket for the next one.
Finished NG7 with my Giant Dad build the other night so I'm going to have a long break from it now.
Obviously having Elden Ring on the horizon will help when I need my Miyazaki fix
Coincidentally enough, my youngest gave me theirs just a few days ago as they haven't used it for over a year.
Linked it to my PS account and there's loads of games I can download because I have the standard versions, so I've been playing Darkest Dungeon and Salt and Sanctuary on it.
Really good piece of kit.
Very Interesting, dark and original movie.
It's glacial pace means it won't be for everyone, but I found the stories strong themes and the committed performances of the main trio of actors very compelling.
