  1. With the addition of the whetstone knife and Ashes of War, there are an absolute tonne of different build variations you can go for. I've played with some ridiculously OP magic users in Co-Op who seem to be able to one-shot bosses. I'll definitely be going in a completely different direction with my next playthrough.
  2. Strength. Two hand weapon with armour / talismans that give me plenty of poise. Giant Dad variation basically
  3. Haven't been there yet, only the mini version which is reachable via the Four Belfries. In other news the Mountaintops of the Giants is kinda epic.
  4. Nice one! Always great when they finally topple
  5. There's been some brilliant areas so far but I think Leyndell Capital has been the standout. Challenging, but **** cool.
  6. Great show - think I'll wait for all the eps to be available and then binge it.
  7. One of the reasons I have my Limitless pass. Only need to go once a month to justify the cost (and I go way more than that).
  8. I think my plan now is to hold fire with the main story bosses and take a good look at the trophy guide. I need to get a feel for which storylines / secondary bosses / areas I've missed out on so far and give some of them a visit before the final push. Not sure if I'll Platinum using this character or roll a new one but either way another playthrough will definitely be on the cards.
  9. That's where I'm stuck too. Best I've done is get him down to 30% health and then got one hit.
  10. Just back. Thought it was very good indeed. Had a very Noir feel and concentrating more on the detective side was a welcome change which harkens back to the early comics. Lost a bit of focus in a few paces and I don't think Dano was utilised enough (great when he was) but apart from that really enjoyable.
  11. Yes I completely agree about subsequent playthroughs. I will definitely go through it a few times more (I aim to get the Plat) but there's no way I'll be doing the same amount of run throughs as the other Soulsborne games. It's too much of a different beast for that.
  12. You didn't attack an NPC did you?
  13. Well after a weeks worth of play and around 50 hours invested this is definitely in the conversation for my favourite game of all time. It's not flawless and there are a few things I would definitely change, but overall its not so much as up my street, but rather it's sitting next to me in my living room having a glass of wine.
  14. Incidentally, if there's any fans of Nosferatu that haven't seen the excellent Shadow of the Vampire then I highly recommend you do as its a brilliant accompany piece.
  15. Released 100 years ago today and still an eerily effective and creative piece of work. Nosferatu (1922).
  16. Why? He's an excellent actor who has made some terrific movies and put in some great performances since his Twilight days.
  17. Nothing as bad...as ellipses...between each point... Which makes...me hear each post...in the voice...of this guy...
  18. Tickets booked for Sunday morning - went with the 'Recliner' option because I doubt my old back could manage 3 hours otherwise I've been excited about seeing this for a while now and it looks as though the hype may be deserved.
  19. Probably my favourite MB song - it's bloody lovely.
  20. Superb film - and yeah, very emotional in parts
  21. Enjoyed this battle and really like the design of the boss and area.
