As others have said, just really good fun.
Definitely one of the best 'pure' fantasy movies for a long time. It has a great sense of humour (the graveyard scene had me in bits) and a lot of warmth and charm.
Enjoyed it.

Yeah it's kind of overlooked isn't it? Even though it was very highly thought of when it came out.
I suppose you could argue that Yorgos dialogue style isn't for everyone but I adore that kind of stuff.
