  1. ^^^Totally agree, Headhunters is fantastic.
  2. Tempted by that as from what I have read it looks like an updated version of Dungeon Master on the old ST, and that was one of my favourite games ever.
  3. I'm not bothering with the beta at all, but I have to say i'm really hyped for this now.
  4. Actually if you know 'Studmuffin' Keenan from a certain other Villa forum (not the obvious other two btw) you would know that he actually does have plenty of opinions on Villa and is very much a die hard fan, and I don't mean he likes to run around in a vest with bare feet. Why he only posts fixtures here is anyone's guess though.
  5. I thought Cabin in the Woods was a good idea let down by bad execution. I 'enjoyed' it, and as a big fan of the horror genre I could see what was trying to be achieved. Unfortunately, the tone was ridiculously uneven and the whole thing was done in such a ham fisted and clunky way it ended up being a bit of a shambles. 10/10 for trying to do something different, but 5/10 for the actual movie.
  6. Talking of Welsh, the movie version of Filth is due for release this year. His best book imo.
  7. It's difficult to begin with as there is literally no hand holding, and some of the early mobs can be very testing, sometimes frustratingly so. However, once you get into the swing of things and figure out the combat system (it's much more fluid that it first appears to be) you will start to progress much more quickly. I wouldn't say the difficulty went to 'easy' after a while, more that it ramps up a lot during the beginning stages, almost vertically but then levels out to a more consistent difficulty. All the above is of course based on the PC version. They may have changed the 360 version somewhat. Of course, you'll be an old hand at Witcher 2 as you're already on to 3.
  8. All joking aside, if the 360 version is as good as the PC version (I haven't read up on it), you'll be in for a treat. One of the best and most challenging RPG's I've played.
  9. I also (still) have Resonance of Fate to play on the PS3. I picked it up cheap ages ago as I'd heard it was along the same lines as the Final Fantasy games, but a little more involved on the combat side. Anyone else played it?
  10. First Dragon Age was wonderful. Second one was absolute shite. I call it the Bloc Party effect.
  11. All bang on the money for me. It's a shame that some people will be put off the books by the mere mention of the word 'fantasy' because as stated above (and in numerous other places) they are very, very far from the average, run of the mill, churned out shite that does admittedly swamp that particular genre.
  12. Alice: Madness Returns - Beautifully dark and twisted with some of the best art design I've seen for a long time. Don't usually enjoy anything with platform elements but this is really good. Silent Hill: Downpour - Has all the usual pros and cons of the Silent Hill genre (creepy atmosphere and good level design, but clunky combat) and enjoying it so far. Assassins Creed: Revelations - Doesn't really differ much from 2 or Brotherhood but it's Assassins Creed. I love Assassins Creed. Dead Rising 2: Off the Record - I enjoyed the original Dead Rising but hated the time aspect of it. Never played DR2 as I read that it suffered from the same problems. However, the introduction of the Sandbox mode which can be played side by side with the story mode peaked my interest and so far it's pretty damned entertaining. Plus, still getting through Driver: San Francisco, Kingdoms of Amalur, Skyrim and WoW. That lot should keep me busy until Diablo 3 comes out anyway.
  13. Loved Brick, but really didn't think much of The Brothers Bloom. So hopefully this will be a return to form for Rian Johnson.
  14. Haha! Theon Greyjoy I presume In it's defence (and because I love the books) each chapter is written from the perspective of one of the characters, so some of their 'personality' shines though in the their respective stories. Hmmm, Melisandre? She is very important to the Stannis storyline. In fact his character is massively defined by her influence on him. She shouldn't be skimmed over that's for sure.
  15. Really enjoying this. Bluesy, Southern Rock with superb lead vocals from the very talented Brittany Howard. Worth a listen.
  16. The only thing I didn't like was the last few levels when it turned into a farm simulator. Apart from that it was pretty damn special.
  17. Along with Guild Wars II, this is my most anticipated game of 2012. Over ten years in development, it's finally released on May 15th and I for one cannot bloody wait, and I foresee many hours being sunk into it. Official Site
  18. Another classic potentially ruined? - next up Suspiria FFS. That is all.
  19. I've considered the £4.99 option. If I were to pay for it, I'd want access on my tablet as well but I don't want to pay £9.99 'cus I'm a cheapskate. I think the £4.99 option is just right to be honest, you get unlimited music and no ads. It's a great way of listening to new stuff before you buy too, so if I hear anything that blows me away I can always go and just buy the CD/Download.
