  1. The Battle Chest is ridiculously good value, especially if it still comes with the first months sub free (which I'm assuming it does). Certainly a lot of bang for buck.
  2. This one sticks in the memory as it featured infanticide on a grand scale.
  3. Thing is my wife's taste in movies is almost identical to mine so I know I'm on safe ground with a French horror. If I suggested some Hollywood chick flick she’d probably have me down the divorce court.
  4. If you ever pop over for a visit I can highly recommend a pint of Bathams.
  5. Seeing as it's Valentines Day, I'm treating the good lady wife to a bit of French horror later on... Romantic bastard I am.
  6. I picked up My work is not yet done after reading the first couple of stories from TG. It's next on the list.
  7. I've been meaning to thank you for recommending Thomas Ligotti. He really is an extraordinary writer, absolutely love Teatro Grottesco and looking forward to reading his other stuff.
  8. Really enjoyed that one Darren. I thought given the subject matter, they handled it very well and although the end does stray into 'feel good cobblers' territory it was one of the rare occasions where I was happy for that to happen. One of De Niro's best performances for a while too.
  9. After seeing this at the cinema last year I recently bought it on Bluray. Having watched it last night I can safely say it improves on repeat viewing, and is imo one of the greatest action movies ever made. Flawless movie-making indeed.
  10. Hearing the new Die Hard is dreadful...
  11. I do quite a bit of oil on canvas painting. I find it therapeutic and a nice challenge away from my usual digital design work. Highly detailed paintings leave me cold though. I appreciate the skill required and technique but find them creatively shallow. If I wanted something photographic, I would take a photo.
  12. It's probably one of the most cliched bit's of TVs you will ever see. I loved it. It also has Ruth Wilson in it, which is a massive bonerus.
  13. I saw them supporting Nirvana. They were better than Nirvana (on the night).
  14. Got a few quid knocking around and like Video Games? Holy shit.
  15. The most un-David Lynch movie ever. Fantastic stuff.
  16. The missus wants me to think of something that will make money - fat chance of that. I'll be spending some money this year, to get the toys I'll need, as I intend to do stuff like photography, writing and getting back in to music (recording/performing). Among others. Oh yes, and genealogy. (Thanks, BOF) That bit in bold sounds fantastic Mike. Make sure you share some of your stuff on here, i always love seeing peoples creative output.
  17. Oh and back On Topic, I went to see High on Fire at the o2 last Friday and they were pretty damned awesome. I've been to hundreds and hundreds of gigs down the years but these guys were by far the loudest band i've ever heard. Ear-bleedingly good.
  18. bit late on that one old chap Actually... I'm going to that as well...as the bootleg Mark Chapman. (Copyright HMHB) They both were
  19. I'd say something is rotten in the state of Nottingham. Definitely more to this than Eck just being poor.
