Not a big fan of Brooks myself either Mike but Young Frankenstein is genius from start to finish and never skips a beat. Plus, if like me you're reasonably clued up on the universal studios horror movies, you'll love it even more due to the countless subtle references.

Cheers I definitely will Watched it yesterday thanks and thought it was excellent. Ulrich Thomsen has done some great films, Festen and Brothers being another two. Glad you enjoyed it. Yeah Festen is excellent but I haven't seen Brothers, i'll have to add it to the list.

Directed by Ben Wheatley (Kill List / Sightseers). Well acted, tightly directed british drama. Very good indeed.

Watch The Inheritance by the same director - a really good movie.

Enjoyed the first one, absolutely loathed the second one. One of the biggest gaming disappointments from the last few years. Because of that I haven't kept an eye on the progress of the third. No idea if it's supposed to be good or not.

Jim Carrey is another one worth a mention. I've never been a fan of him when he does comedy but he's great in Eternal Sunshine, Man on the Moon, Truman Show etc. Basically, I think he's wasted when he's trying to be funny.

I've mentioned the Adam Sandler thing a few times before on here, but the thing that annoys me most about him, even more than the fact that 99% of his movies are awful is the fact that he CAN actually act. Just watch him in Punch Drunk Love or Reign Over Me. As for Owen Wilson. Watch him when he's being directed by Wes Anderson. It's like he's a completely different actor. Thought he was great in Midnight in Paris too. Vince Vaughan? Good in Swingers, Thumbsucker or Into The Wild. Made an awful lot of garbage otherwise.

Yarp It's worked though hasn't it? They spent so much time in the second series developing the characters that now the pace has upped and the threats are regular you actually give a shit who lives or dies.

Finally caught up with the third series of Walking Dead. My word, they've upped the pace a tad haven't they? David Morrissey is his usual excellent self as the Governor.
