  1. Absolutely loving this at the moment. More than a hint of Opeth to it (never a bad thing imo).
  2. Directed by Park Chan Wook (Vengeance Trilogy), superbly odd movie about a woman with mental health issues (as the title suggests, she thinks she's a Cyborg). Some great performances, and a genuinely moving story interjected with some downright surreal and inventive sequences.
  3. I got the second stage version instead - I did a little victory jig when that bloody loveheart graphic came up
  4. Trying to find a Shonky-Honker that's tameable...
  5. Indeed. Working your way through the L.A. Quartet? No, I picked up LA Confidential in a sale. It was an impulse buy as i'm a big fan of the movie and had always heard good things about Ellroy. So far it's lived up to the hype. I'll probably pick up the other three at a later date (although I do understand they run chronologically).
  6. LA Confidential at the moment. Great stuff.
  7. Put about 50 hours into this now. Its such a brilliant game isn't it? Easily GOTY material.
  8. Baz Luhrmann can go f*** himself.
  9. Ah, good old 'Beat' Takeshi - mad as a box of frogs. Check out Hana Bi (Fireworks) which is a great movie. He also played the nutty sensei in Battle Royale.
  10. ^^^ Yep, those Eton chaps were absolute nutters.
  11. Agree on both of those, Headhunters was particularly brilliant imo.
  12. Its when they start coming out with ’oh well you see he's broken the one eighty rule again there’ that you realise they've disappeared up their own orifice.
  13. John Major - The 'Begbie' of Prime Ministers.
  14. Personally I liked it. It's quite a divisive movie though, and I know some people who absolutely hated it because of how the subject matter was handled. I think it helps if you like Benigni. I do to a certain extent, he's not a great actor, but you can't fault his enthusiasm. Can't forgive him for his version of Pinochio though, which is still one of the most ****-up movies I've ever seen (and not in a good way).
  15. Iron Man III Review from The Telegraph. Promising.
  16. I bet he loved doing that 'Learn to Swim' Public information ad all those years ago.
  17. I'll be sad to see the last episode of Broadchurch next week. I think it's been absolutely fantastic from start to finish, with a really strong cast. Very rarely watch terrestrial TV these days but it's definitely been a standout amongst the tides of crap that they usually serve up.
  18. Finished Season 3 of Boardwalk Empire. Loved every bloody second.
  19. Flashbacks of Arnie as Mr. Freeze.
  20. Bought to you by Andy 'Streamofconsciousness' Keenan.
  21. Rosetti steals every scene he's in doesnt he? Yes, the very epitome of barely restrained rage. Great character. He was so much nicer in The Station Agent (along with GOT star Peter Dinklage).
