  2. Love The Illusionist. Particularly the unintelligible Scottish fella.

  4. I did, I even threw you a 'Like'. Pretty much despise the whole thing in film / literature as they (mostly) seem to consist of revelling in the violence and how much of a total **** word removed they were. But then of course, it's all OK because they are now 'reformed characters'. If you're so reformed, how about not trying to make a quick buck and giving ideas to other oxygen theives. And yes, I do realise there will be exceptions and that some of them are trying to highlight their past as a warning to others, but I would say they are few and far between.
  5. Blimey! is Lambert doing his 'big' shop?. Great stuff.
  6. People who stand next to me at a pedestrian crossing, watch me press the button, wait for a few seconds and then decide to give the button a press themselves even though they can see the 'wait' light is lit. I mean why? Does your own hand contain some sort of mystical energy that causes the lights to change sooner? do you not trust your own eyes that I actually pressed the button?
  7. I paid £1.69 postage to get it on release day, so it's hardly a fortune.
  8. Going to see this later. I've been excited about seeing it for a while now as I thoroughly enjoyed the book. The general consensus seems to be that it's a little bit one dimensional from a narrative perspective but Michael Shannon's performance carries the movie.
  9. Just pre-ordered mine from Amazon. Can't wait
  10. Loving this album at the moment, particularly this track which is absolutely beautiful.
  11. Well that's where you're going wrong buddy, there's no point arguing on the internet, there's rarely a winner and most people are either too proud or too stupid to hold their hands up and admit they were wrong in real life, let alone when they're safely behind a computer screen. I admit I'm guilty of perpetuating an online argument here and there though, but they really are pointless exercises. I think you're right.
  12. Dexter has been good, but not consistently so over the seasons imo. A couple of them have been average to good with some very clunky and often ridiculous writing. The latest series in particular was one the poorest overall. Seem to remember the season with Jimmy Smits in it was a bit ropey to say the least. Best season for me was the one with Trinity and the last but one with Edward James Olmos which I thought was excellent. Certainly glad this next season is the last one.
  13. His best work imo and also one of my favourite books. Fantastic.
  14. Just got Walsall to the Prem Suggestions for the following would be welcome: CB CM (Defensive) Striker - preferably one that is strong in a support role
  15. Need a new series to watch and it's a toss up between Banshee, The Fall and Bates Motel at the moment. The wife is a huge fan of Psycho so that might tip the balance.
  16. I still think The Bridge is one of the most wonderfully written and brilliantly deep novels i've read. I don't think i'll ever fully 'get it' but I think that's just part of it's charm.
  17. Just introduced my kids to one of my favourites from my teen years: I love the shit out of that movie. As charming and cheesy as ever.
  18. Couldn't get on with Dishonoured if i'm honest, so Borderlands 2 gets my vote - ridiculous fun.
  19. I thought the first Mad Max was awful. The second one could (arguably) be the best sequel of all time.
  20. Seriously, what did you expect? It's another in a long line of painfully unfunny parodies and has Marlon Wayans in it.
  21. I think he'll be a good Mad Max though, even though re-boots / remakes usually annoy the piss out of me.
