  1. Ni No Kuni is still GOTY for me. Can't see anything topping it.
  2. He's on the right isn't he? Assume you meant the late, great Graham Chapman.
  3. I must get around to watching the original at some point You disgust me.
  4. Unless the writers make a spectacular hash of the last episode, then this will be my favourite season of Boardwalk Empire so far. Absolutely outstanding TV.
  5. Oh man, you are missing out on sooooo many classics (old and new).
  6. Yes, it's an absolute classic. It's a great story (with quite a dark undercurrent) and yes, It is dated but imo that just adds to it's charm. Plus Frank Capra made some brilliant movies and his work is always worth a watch.
  7. Well how do you feel when you look at your uncle? Dunno mate as he is a tranny. I swear you live inside a John Waters movie Morpheus
  8. I certainly wouldn't have been able to look at Coco Pops the same way again.
  9. It was when she was a backing singer in Goodbye Mr.Mackenzie so well before she was famous. They'd been supporting (iirc) The Primitives and she sauntered over to me and in a slightly drunken, thick Scottish brogue asked me if i'd like to accompany her back to where they were staying that night. After reading about her sexual exploits (the infamous breakfast story etc) i'm glad I declined, and as BOF says i've never seen the attraction. As for Manning, he was in Frankley services late one Friday night and a mate had driven us there for some after pub grub. I'd had a few to drink (must have been a few to tolerate service station food) and took the opportunity to tell him what I thought of him. His answer was a simple '**** off son'. So there you go.
  10. I once called Bernard Manning a racist clearing in the woods. I once got propositioned by Shirley Manson (from Garbage). I once told Geoffrey (from Rainbow) I thought his trousers were cool.
  11. Not an album an EP (of cover versions) but there you go. Produced by Dave Grohl, and as beautifully melodic as their other stuff.
  12. I thought Life of Pi (the movie) was utter bobbins, didn't enjoy it at all. Decent enough book though.
  13. Mom - Connie Francis, Dr Hook and then David Gray (!) Dad - Chuck Berry, Hank Williams and Johnny Cash.
  14. Fierce and intimidating looking our Mr.Rollins. He was articulate and funny and an absolute gent.
  15. I think they're just fine to be honest. I like a fair amount of their work and I appreciate the craftsmanship of the songs. So yeah, I do actually.
  16. Bicks reacts to news of another Beatles thread.
  17. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=-U3jrS-uhuo Well worth a watch before next Saturday
  18. Joon-ho Bong's Menories or Murder and Mother are another two I would recommend highly. Also, if you want beautifully dark and twisted then Pil-Sung Yim's Hansel and Gretel is brilliant (but very disturbing in parts). Only just logged on for my lunch, give a man a chance!
  19. Sion Sono's Hate Trilogy is well worth a watch.
  20. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=pohhMx9EdNc The level of musicianship on this track...
