    Not recent, but definitely one of the dumbest things i've ever said. I phoned a cleaning company as my living room carpet needed a good scrub to get rid of some wine stains from a recent party. After an initial chat to the guy on the phone to discuss price etc I said "yeah, so do you come to the house to clean it?".

    Enjoyed Vicky, Cristina Barcelona alot. Thought Cassandra's Dream was poor, one of his worst imo. Whatever Works was OK, but I thought given the talent involved it should have been better.

    Yep, I really enjoyed Midnight in Paris. It seems Allen is the only director (other than Wes Anderson) able to wring a good performance out of Owen Wilson.

    I've been on a bit of a Woody Allen spree the last few weeks. Watching (and re-watching) some of his classics. Manhattan, Manhattan Murder Mystery, Mighty Aphrodite, Annie Hall, Purple Rose of Cairo and last night I watched Crimes and Misdemeanors for the first time. Absolutely brilliant, Martin Landau is so bloody good in it.

    Yeah right we should be beating Man U like we always do. Not good enough ? How many points more than we do have would you regard as good enough ? I think it's more the manner of the defeats for me. We seem to be completely bereft of ideas and quality.
