Steve McQueen has a 100% record with me so far (haven't seen any of his short movies, but his full length features have been superb).
I think he's an immensely talented director.
I thought Salo was fine, it had a certain amount of integrity and intelligence and some artistic merit.
Serbian Movie on the other hand, was vile imo, and no amount of heavy handed symbolism can change my opinion on that.
Same goes for the August Underground movies. Although to be fair, they don't even pretend to have a message.
12 Years a Slave is absolutely sublime.
Contains pretty much everything a good movie should (wonderful acting, great cinematography etc) and has a deep, emotional story that is in turns extremely brutal, touching and fascinating.
Finished it three times now. Went through with a walkthrough this time as there were a few areas I had missed out on.
It's an absolute masterpiece.
Heard great things about Walking Dead, and have only played about half an hour so far and it looks excellent.
Just finished another play through of Dark Souls (second one can't come fast enough for me), and now moving onto Walking Dead (season 1).
Still got AC4 on the go too.
How can you not like Only Fools and Horses?!
As soon as they made the episodes set after the ones where they became millionaires, they totally and utterly pissed on it's legacy.
Such a shame really as there were some genuinely brilliant episodes throughout the early series.
Please let this be the year when they introduce a serial killer into the fray.
[scottishtwatvoice] Day Three, and racist **** Jim has been mercilessly slayed by having a snooker cue rammed into his eye socket whilst the perpetrator continuously shouted 'it's only a game so!' with each stabbing motion. [/scottishtwatvoice]
