Wasn't massively impressed with American Hustle I have to say. Very well acted and a beautifully stylized direction but I found the whole experience wafer thin and all gloss.

The crown turd in the bowl of recent cinematic disappointments would be the Evil Dead remake. A larger pile of blood spattered faeces you would be hard pressed to find.

Yep, I was on a contract at a place at a couple of years ago and when I popped for a quick pee in the morning I was greeted by King Kong's finger pointing out at me. Disturbing stuff indeed.

What a wretched excuse for a movie that was. The book was decent (nowhere near his best work) but I couldn't believe M.Freeman would associate himself with such a load of drivel.

I would say that was because Bale would have insisted on being front and centre in the poster and first name (left to right) that was read. It's been happening for years now.

Loved all three and thought the third was a brilliant way to round it all off. The complexities of the relationship shown through fantastically nuanced performances. An exceptional trilogy.

Really pleased that Boardwalk is to finish after it's next season. 5 seasons is the perfect amount imo. I thought 4 was the best yet and i'd hate to see it 'Do a Dexter'.

I think it's because it's De Niro, and because he's a legend that people are critical if he make less than stella role choices. We all know what he's capable of and I do tend to sigh a little when I read about another role in a non descript comedy. I for one would like to see him in a few more meaty roles before he retires. He's more than capable. I mean let's face it, if it was Rob Schneider making yet another 'comedy' no-one would blink an eye.
