  1. Gambon is exceptional in that. In the scene on the roof, Gambon is talking with the HSBC HQ visible in the background. I always wondered whether that was a coincidence or whether it was a nod to the fact he is the voice of the HSBC adverts. If there's anyone who thought Gambon was great in Layer Cake (and he was) who hasn't seen him as Albert Spica then do so immediately. One of THE great screen villains.
  2. I admire your social ambitions, but I think they might be busy.
  3. I don't see the connection between the two statements?
  4. The exact mirror image of my thoughts on the subject. Strange old world eh?
  5. HOLYF**KINGJESUSINABREADBIN. JESUSTITTYFUCKINGCHRIST!
  6. Really? I would have thought this would have been more up your street mate...
  7. Here's my experience of playing Outlast so far:
  8. Best use of a Duran Duran song ever.
  9. That's on my LoveFilm list. Is it really that bad then? My mate who recommended it to me said he loved it.
  10. I think I nearly needed new trousers when I went into the library.
  11. Yep, and Tom Hiddleston is in it.
  12. So unbelievably gutted. Massive talent. RIP.
  13. Lone Survivor was actually better than I thought it would be. The middle third is absolutely breathtaking, and some of the finest (and grittiest) action scenes on film. My only problems with it was the rather feeble attempts at giving the characters some background and depth in the first third (it could have been done so much better within the time constraints) and I found the final third a bit of a letdown with a couple of cliched moments. Decent watch though no doubt.
  14. About time for another watch of this beauty. If you haven't seen it, do so.
