  1. Have you retired then? Weird. Never mentioned it did he? Imagine if he'd retired and owned an iPhone...
  2. I bloody love Matt Berry (in a purely platonic way you understand ). Not only a very funny chap but an absolutely wonderful musician.
  3. Very pretty around there, it's on the Severn Valley Railway too. Seconded, it's a regular jaunt of ours and it's always a pleasant walk.
  4. Just do what I did with 'S.Darko' and pretend it doesn't exist.* *then go and kill everyone involved in making it.
  5. Keep it that way. I'm interested in watching it completely independent of the other two films. I've not watched those in years, I've not had a day to dedicate to them! If it's a 7/10 as a stand alone then surely worth a go? It's not a terrible movie. But as I said on the previous page, because Coppola made it purely for monetary reasons and because Paramount then **** him over on the length of time he was allowed to write the script, it is (a few great scenes aside) a bit of an uneven mess with some of the worst acting ever committed to film in the shape of Sofia Coppolas 'performance'.
  6. There are far worse movies yes I agree but my main issue with it (other than Sofia Coppola) is that it was made for all the wrong reasons and that shines through with how poor it compares to the first two.
  7. So sorry to hear that mate. Huge condolences.
  8. The final part of Polanski's loose 'Apartment' trilogy. Well worth a watch if you're a fan of his work, a really solid and intelligent psychological thriller.
  9. Please for the love of humanity, do not watch Grown Ups 2.
  10. I'm a lover not a fighter Well yes, saying 'Get in the van!' with those arms probably makes it easier.
  11. I was just typing the same thing - Read a couple of interviews with Scorsese which confirmed it.
  12. Thanks Mart, i'll pass on the compliment to her
  13. Lovely shot of daughter number one taken by the good lady wife. The lighting is fantastic.
  14. And it was rather splendid The Mo Farah bit had me in stitches
  15. A bit of a guess re.The Gunslinger but...
  16. Yes, although i'm far more intrigued at this point by the world building rather than the story which seems a little one-note. Although i'm sure it will get fleshed out a little more as the books progress. Which are the other books? I was a huge fan of King until around the time of Geralds Game (urghh) so if it's anything before that i've probably read it. No Country for Old Men for me.
  17. After not reading any of King's stuff for years i've recently started reading The Gunslinger. Enjoyable so far. As for The Road, I thought it was superb. The film was a very good attempt to bring it to the big screen in my opinion.
  18. Second series of The Trip starts on Friday. Loved the first series so really looking forward to this.
  19. The best one imo. 3 was great fun but it just got slightly too daft for me, whereas 2 hit the perfect level of OTT game play.
