  1. She's voting for Dukakis, leave her alone
  2. no !! Not sure what it is but for me she has something about her , she just comes across as lovely in stranger than fiction for example Completely agree. Have you seen her in Sherrybaby Tone? Excellent movie and she's fantastic in it.
  3. A discussion about the Nou Camp. Edit: It may not have been a discussion about the Nou Camp after all.
  4. Fixed for you. T1 & T2 equally brilliant. T3 & T4 were ok as standalone films, but just didn't live up to T1 & T2 (which they were never going to anyway). The original Terminator had these lovely layers of grime and darkness (reminded me of early J.Carpenter) and a tight, simple storyline that never dropped the pace. Also loved the sense of foreboding dread that it had. T2 was much bigger, brighter, expansive and highly polished and had some incredible action set-pieces but I think it lost much of what I loved about the first one. Great popcorn flick though to be fair.
  5. You obviously have waaaay too much time on your hands VA, but that intro video is absolutely brilliant
  6. Lost count of the amount of times i've played through that. Still don't think i've played an FPS that is better or more involving.
  7. One of my favourites from the last few years. Worth watching for Toby Jones performance alone, and the sort of movie that certainly sticks with you for a few days after. So, yeah I would recommend it
  8. It's got George C.Scott in it, which immediately gives it a decent rating. The problem lies more in the final third, but I won't say any more for fear of spoiling it.
  9. It's a bit like Cameron Diaz. Good when it first came out, but it's aged badly.
  10. Although it does have 'As the Worm Turns' on it, so that lifts the quality up a level. Original version (and lyrics) of We Care a Lot on there too.
  11. It's actually a pretty poor album in comparison to the Mike Patton years, but it still gets a 'like' because it's one of the greatest bands to ever grace the face of the earth.
  12. Yeah, it's bloody brilliant. Kinski / Herzog collaborations were always interesting, even more so because of their relationship off screen. For my shame, there's lots of movies on that box set I haven't seen yet. Looking forward to ploughing through them.
  13. So, this is finally happening on Blu-ray... Much rejoicing and pre-ordering has taken place, and no more watching my shite copy of Aguirre, Wrath of God. Which is nice.
  14. I've played around 12 hours so far and i've barely scratched the story so yeah there's plenty to do. Haven't really delved into the multiplayer yet although I do like the idea of the one on one Fixer matches.
  15. Played another 6 hours or so last night and i'm genuinely loving this game to bits. I completely understand where some of the reviews are coming from regarding the GTA with hacking description but it's just so much damned fun. I've mostly been flitting around the city (usually via motorcycle) stopping random crimes, attempting various challenges (the AR shooter is superb) and taking out other Fixers. I spent hours last night taking out the main CtOS hubs which is great fun, there are various ways to approach it from stealthily stalking around causing havoc with hacking and then taking guards out with melee to taking out people from range with a sniper rifle then moving in for the final few kills. The upgrade system works well, with additional skills etc that actually add something to your character rather than many of them being superfluous as I find in some games. Only complaints would be the main story seems severely lacking in decent characters (cliches ahoy in the ones i've come across so far) and the selection of weapons / grenades / devices can feel a little clunky in the middle of combat. These are small problems though, and for me when a game is this entertaining they are easy to overlook.
  16. I really like the driving, haven't had an issue at all. As for the rest of the game, I'm having an absolute hoot, I think it's great fun.
  17. Shaggy is in his teens I think and was asking advice on DHUTWU, which Morpheus definitely wouldn't require. Yeah, he definitely wouldn't make up a back story to enforce his new identity...
  18. Love Ghost World. Buscemi is superb in it.
  19. I remember when the 1978 World Cup was taking place and a group of lads decided to host their own version of it at our local park. There were going to be 16 teams with 2 people on each, and the matches would be 10 minutes a half. It was all done with much enthusiasm including posters (lettering drawn with stencils and felt tip pens and some of the worst proportioned footballers you've ever seen) and most of the moms chipping in with bottles of watered down, warm orange for after the matches. Anyway, I had drawn Brazil as my team and was pretty impressed with my luck, going as far as getting my mom to buy me a yellow T-Shirt from Woolworths. So, the day arrived and I was ridiculously excited. Polished up my Gola boots and made my way to the park. Unfortunately, a couple of the players decided to pull a McGrath and I was informed (about 10 minutes before my match was starting) that my team mate had gone on holiday to Blackpool for a week (**** you Adam Willetts!) so I would be facing West Germany alone. West Germany were a few years older than me (I was 7 at the time) and considerably bigger, but despite all that going against me I managed to keep the score down to 13-0. But hey, at least I lost to the eventual winners (one half of West Germany ended up in prison years later) and I got my warm orange drink after the match. Jumpers for goalposts indeed.
  20. Just bought the Special Edition myself. My expectation has been dulled to some extent, but I bet I'll still enjoy it.
  21. Finally played through the first season of The Walking Dead recently. I'm kind of disappointed in myself for taking so long to do so as it's one of the best things i've played the last few years. It's fantastically written and the emotional attachment to the characters is very well done indeed. If there's anyone who still hasn't given it a go, I suggest they do.
  22. Have you played it yet Pete? I'm bound by embargo agreement not to confirm that I have had the game since last week Ah, I see.
  23. Have you played it yet Pete?
