  1. Was just gonna post that one myself. Upon first listen it's veh good indeed.
  2. Bang on. When he wasn't doing comedy he brought a tremendous amount of gravitas to a role. RIP fella.
  3. Finally got around to starting Orange is the New Black. It's whimsical, lightweight and very funny. Impressed so far.
  4. RV, you look absolutely nothing like I imagined. It is however, fantastic to put a face to one of the most honest and downright bizarre posters on here
  5. Well, i've already had my fill of having an Ally character - It was fine seeing a little bit of that side of the game but I think my hatred for them is just hardwired into me now
  6. Just realised i've been on this forum for ten years. Cheers VT it's been an experience
  7. Absolute gem of a movie. It's a family drama with amazing natural performances from the two (real life) brothers. Directed by Hirokazu Koreeda who also made the superb Still Walking. Needless to say - recommended
  8. Bang on Mr.Davkaus
  9. Been playing this for nearly ten years now and yesterday was the first time I ever travelled on the Deeprun Tram
  10. Ah OK. I'll put this one on as I know we have a few movie fans too. Basically, I attempted to create Frank from Donnie Darko in the style of Edvard Munch but giving his expression a happier tone. Should point out that the above is a comp of photos taken from different angles. The actual canvas is 36x48".
  11. You got a canvas stretcher and a room with plenty of natural light? Why of course
  12. I was having a good look at that yesterday on a bus stop near my house. It's such a terrific painting, i'd seen it before in books/online etc but as i'd never seen it on such a scale I stood for quite a while having a good gawp. I might stick some of my oil paintings on here at some point. Tony will absolutely hate them
  13. its a great film, better than captain phillips IMO it didnt really get much fuss made over it, and most of the reviews i saw said farrell was awful in it, i thought the flashbacks were excellent I thought Thompson and Hanks were excellent but blimey the emotional manipulation was way over the top.
  14. When I first started my career there were still a few projects that were done exclusively as flat artwork, luckily when I did my degree we barely touched any digital artwork (Macs had only just come onto the scene and were only really used as a way to output type) so I had a good grounding in scalpels, Cow Gum and Rubylith
  15. Ah, good old flat artwork. Takes me right back to the start of my career. Why does it say digital artwork on the caption? Does it? Looks like 'Original' Artwork to me.
  16. Ah, good old flat artwork. Takes me right back to the start of my career.
  17. Yeah, I'm not much of a Lynch fan either from what I've seen, which admittedly is Mulholland Drive, The Elephant Man (which I found interesting more down to the subject matter rather than the film itself) and his appearances as the bartender in the Cleveland Show... which always struck me as odd. Different strokes for different folks, I guess. I think he's a bona fide genius to be honest. Blue Velvet, Eraserhead, Wild at Heart, Mullholland, Twin Peaks are all exceptional. And just to prove he has a soul, he goes and directs Straight Story which quite frankly is one of the sweetest things ever committed to film. The only film of his I find totally impenetrable is Inland Empire - I tried to enjoy it but it was a chore.
  18. Yes!* (*not really, his style definitely isn't for everyone)
  19. http://youtu.be/30oTLYBKj9A LEEEEEEEERRRRRROOOOOOYYYYYY!!!
  20. That's on my rental list. So what did you think?
  21. If you liked the Malkovich version of Mice and Men you should love the (imo superior) Lon Chaney / Burgess Meridith one.
  22. I reckon CED was having a subtle jab at another poster...might be wrong though...
  23. I remember when I was first introduced to the delights of Takashi Miike all those years ago and my mate saying to me 'Watch this, it's like Robocop!' - Well, not quite but great all the same
