As usual with anthology movies it's quite patchy, but it was worth a watch just for the final story written and directed by Scott Derickson (Sinister/Black Phone) which could easily have been made into a interesting full length movie.

Yeah seem to be averaging out at around 7/10 which is still respectable I suppose. I played around an hour last night and first impressions are it's...fine. They throw a lot of info at you from the off and the Umbral system didn't click straight away for me. The combat seems solid enough though and the world looks very good. I'll have a better idea after I've caned a few hours over the weekend.

Personally I would finish LoP first or just play it alongside. The final third of the game is the toughest but its got some really **** cool areas and bosses. Also, when you kill the swamp bitch you get access to probably the best weapon in the game...

Really excited for this one. I was one of the few people who enjoyed the 2014 original which although it had plenty of issues, I still found to be a solid enough experience. This updated soft reboot looks to be on a whole new level though, and I've already pre-ordered the deluxe edition on PS5 ready for Friday. Trailer and gameplay videos:

It actually managed to be even worse than I feared Lee. I should have stuck to my guns and not gone to see it. The only decent movie DG Green has made is Halloween 2018 which I thought was really **** good. But that turned out to be one of the falsest of dawns in cinematic history. He's a hack and I hope he never gets his mitts on another beloved horror franchise. I'm going to try and erase it from my memory now. All you need is the original and part 3 and you're all set.

After it being on the list for awhile I finally got around to the first three seasons of Top Boy. It's kind of superb isn't it? Think I'll pace myself on s4 and s5 as I really don't want it to end.

I always love how people's playthroughs of these types of games differ. You defeated the Archbishop in a few goes and he took me about 30 tries and grinding some levels, and yet I killed King of Puppets on my first go Best thing I can suggest is a full load of throwables, but save them until you have him down to around 50/60 percent on his second stage (i used this method on quite a few of the latter bosses). Also, get the cube buff that heals the Spectre as having them for the second phase is (literally) a life saver. Don't give up skeleton!

Finished Lies of P. Definitely going to be in my top five games of the year and I'll more than likely return to Platinum it at some point. Now to wait for the reboot of Lords of the Fallen which drops this month.

Just back from this. Bit disappointing if I'm honest. VIsually impressive, but the story and script were pretty weak (and incredibly derivative) and it was at least 30 minutes too long.
