You were about 5 episodes in when I started it, I finished it about 3 weeks ago What took you so long? I really liked it. Haha - I tend to just watch a couple of episodes a week, unless i’m really binging on something (i’m looking at you Daredevil).

Finished Bloodline last night. Impressed with it, especially the final four episodes. Top notch acting throughout.

I found the key to that one was timing the riposte with the gun. Once you get that down it was way simpler.

Daredevil has been excellent so far, i'm five episodes in and it's been well written, well directed and (mostly) well acted with a great balance between it's dark tone and the usual splashes of Marvel humour. The characters have a decent amount of depth, and no story arc seems forced. I absolutely love D'Onofrio as Kingpin, they've given a great actor a character with some real meat and bones and as a result he's way more interesting than the usual 2 dimensional shallow psychopath.
 One thing that has surprised me is just how violent it is. I’d read they’d turned it up a notch, but some scenes (the car door in particular) were startlingly gruesome. Although having said that none of it seems misplaced and just adds to the overall darker tone. Oh, and that corridor fight scene in episode 2 - Oh my word, that was just glorious. Looking forward to seeing how the rest of the series pans out now.

Having a session on Daredevil tonight myself. Looking forward to it immensely.

Why? It's the Film thread, it's a place to talk about films in general and I for one would hate to see it diluted into genres. As someone who embraces many genres of film, from arthouse to comic book movies I enjoy reading diverse views on a wide range of film styles.

He's done a very decent job so far and has surpassed my expectations of him. I find myself liking him more and more (albeit incrementally) and there are definitive signs of his improving managerial prowess. I still worry about his tactical knowledge and his (as yet untested) ability to buy a player. But ultimately, so what? As far as keeping us in the Prem he's surpassing his predecessor with flying colours (I'm talking predictively but I think even the most fanatic of Lambert's admirers would accept that) and is showing something that has been lacking for quite a while, and that is passion and respect for the club. Keep it up Tim.

There was a fair bit of Ligotti influence in the first season which made me happy as a big happy thing (he's up there with my favourite writers).

Age of Ultron early reviews are very positive. After how he was relegated to a bit-part player in the first Avengers movie, It seems that Hawkeye has quite the substantial role, including many of the best lines. Maybe Whedon felt a wee bit guilty.

You just know that Vince Vaughn is going to knock this out of the **** park, be absolutely incredible in his role and almost, almost make you forgive him for some of the shite he's served up the last decade... And then go back to making crap again.

If you watch anything directed by Paul Tranter you deserve all you get He's well known for making unwatchable macho bollox.

You should watch Audition. It's a very, very similar film.* *well, it does sort of start off like it before it goes murderously mental.

Finished it. Utterly fantastic as I expected it to be, and another solid addition to a brilliant series. Dark Souls > Bloodborne > Demon Souls > Dark Souls 2
