Took a bit of a punt with Mad Max as I haven't seen any reviews yet, but the gameplay videos look right up my street so i'm reasonably confident it will be enjoyable.
Well generally speaking movies based on video games tend to be the really bad side of turgid, but will Fassbender help to buck the trend?
Here's hoping.
To be honest I wish we'd have drawn anyone else.
Even if we win, you just know there's going to be trouble with that lot coming to VP. They can't help themselves, the **** scumbags.
Watch the TV shows '86 and '88, they're even better!
Yeah man next on the list, excited to watch em
They're great. Plus 90 is on soon
I've seen the advert for it, looks superb, love that 90s scene so it holds great potential for me
If only someone had told you to watch This is England a few years ago eh?
Re-watched the whole lot recently (in preparation for the final series starting soon) and I think apart from a couple of missed beats, it's superb from start to finish.
As for Dead Man's Shoes - Yes, totally agree although Romeo Brass comes a very close second.
Just watched it again for the umpteenth time.
Still as bloody brilliant as ever
"One beat, two beat three beat, sugar beat. Four beat, five beat, six beat, wheat-a-beat. Seven beat, eight beat, nine beat, heartbeat. My heartbeat, my heart is beating for you."
Really looking forward to seeing British Sea Power in a couple of weeks. They are playing an (extremely) low key gig at one of my local venues, The Scary Canary in Stourbridge.
It's by far the biggest gig the Canary has ever put on and i'm absolutely chuffed to bits for the owners. Not only are they great people but the venue itself has been a godsend on the local musical front for a while now. They have bands on every week (absolutely NO cover bands allowed) and cinema/poetry evenings on other nights. It's a nice little cultural haven and with Bathams behind the bar i'm in heaven.
Can't wait to see it packed to the rafters
