Deep Red, Bird with the Crystal Plumage and Death walks on High Heels are some I've enjoyed that aren't on your list.
From a more contemporary view, there's some very good Giallo homages like Berberian Sound Studio and The Last Matinee.
**Edit** Fulcis House by the Cemetary, The Beyond and Don't Torture a Duckling are good watches too.
Went to see this tonight:
Definitely going to be in my films of the year list.
Very good psychological drama with yet another cracking performance from the mercurial Barry Keoghan.
Two in a row from Writer/Director Emerald Fennel after the excellent Promising Young Woman.
Mostly Robocop Rogue City on the PS5 at the moment.
It's a very good game, and if you're a fan of the OG movies then it very quickly becomes a **** glorious game.
They absolutely nail being Robocop.
No, im in the same boat. it's a good game and I'm glad I finished it, but it still has some big issues (even after multiple patches) which would put me off further playthroughs.
Nowhere near the level of Lies of P in terms of pure quality and polish (or as you say the Soulsborne series).
Well, according to the excellent documentary Bubba Ho Tep, JFK is now a black man living in a retirement home in Texas along with Elvis Presley (real name Sebastian) where they spend their time trying to save the other residents from an evil Mummy.
Got to be some truth in there somewhere.
Finished Daisy Jones and the Six and Swarm (both on Amazon)
Daisy Jones was what I expected story wise but elevated by some absolutely terrific performances (Sam Claflin is so bloody versatile, definitely one of our best actors at the moment). Nice easy watch and they landed the ending which is always a bonus.
Swarm was just fantastic - That Donald Glover is a a talented bugger isn't he? satirical, jet black drama at it's best and Dominique Fishback's central performance is what makes it all work.
Also nearly finished Normal People (on iPlayer) - Very good indeed, can see why Paul Mescal is being spoken about so highly.
Started Snowfall. First couple of episodes were promising and I like the dual storylines and the characters.
Tickets booked for tomorrow. Looking forward to it.
Amazing that it took him (Roth) this long to make it after the 'fake' Grindhouse trailer all those years ago
That was my lingering thought after watching it.
I thought it was OK, and thought Fassbender did well with very little dialogue, but I thought it was a total waste of Fincher's talent.
