Had a few minutes on Dark Souls III yesterday.
From the limited amount of time I spent on it, there was no great departure from DS 1 and 2 which I would imagine would please the more hardcore fan.
The one thing I did think look improved was the overall look of the graphics - running very smoothly and some nice lighting effects.
Fingers crossed this will be the usual high standard when it's released in April next year.
Yes, I hear that the Krampus tries to evoke a few of Joe Dante's touches but fails miserably.
My daughter said it was the worst film she's seen this year (and like her dad, she watches a lot )
People with absolutely no self awareness.
It can of course be a pain in the arse too, but in this guys case he is so cringingly oblivious to his own foibles it's quite amusing
Really? For me it's been easily the most consistently well written series since the one with John Simm as The Master.
I think Capaldi has been fantastic and the two-episode format has worked well to give the stories room to breath.
Just had a bit of a read about the latest version and it seems where the others were stories based on the concept of the guards/prisoners this is a closer account of the actual event that took place in 71.
So yeah, I want to see it.
There's already been two versions of the same story, one decent (The Experiment 2010) and one very good (Das Experiment 2001) so not sure why they bothered with another one.
Having said that, the new one has a strong cast and it's a very interesting concept so I dare say i'll watch it sometime.
**It's Stanford btw, not Stanton
Anyone done the 2015 Year in Music on Spotify?
It's quite an eye-opener if like me, you listen to a fair amount of music during your working day.
Turns out I listened to 71,000 minutes of music in 2015
That's not bad going...
So another excellent year in film draws to a close, but what were your standout movies for 2015*? *2015 UK release dates according to IMDB only
My top ten (in no particular order) are as follows:
You beat me to it
I've been promising myself one of the kits for years. Walking around the pubs before any HMHB gig and seeing all the blokes wearing them is a sight to behold.
***and just for everyone who doesn't get what i'm on about, here's a video***
Gotham is pretty enjoyable, my main two issues are a weak main character and some utterly awful 'filler' episodes.
However, to counter that it has a stunning visual style and two stand out characters in The Penguin and Fish Mooney, played brilliantly by Robin Lord Taylor and Jada Pinkett Smith respectively.
It's a mixed bag but I kinda like it.
