Just got back from seeing The Revenant. What an absolutely incredible piece of cinema. Pretty much flawless in my opinion.

I thought it was very good indeed. Glacial pacing but all the better for it.

Wild Tales was one of my favourite movies from last year - thought it was superb.

For such a vast and interesting genre, you really are limiting yourself quite a bit there mate. I could send you a list of some recommendations if you like, but I pretty much guarantee there would be subtitles and films older than 3-4 years involved

Johnny Greenwood's movie soundtracks are excellent too. Well worth a listen.

Again, there are varying degrees of addiction. You don't have to be falling out of bed and straight onto the spirits to have an addiction to something. The point I was trying to make, is that even if you have a mild (compared to other cases) addiction to alcohol then cutting down or giving up the booze will be more difficult. It's all about the individual and their mental make up and background. Re. Ruge and his drink intake. I'm not going to comment as I have only have an idea of his personality and lifestyle from this forum and so i'd be uncomfortable to make any judgment from that.

Which is great, and fair play to you. You must see though, that not everyone is capable of the same levels of restraint? Everyone has a different mental make-up, set of circumstances where addictions etc will affect them in varying degrees.

Looking forward to watching this tonight. It's the 4K restoration so it should be a lovely print. Haven't seen it for a few years and it's an absolute classic.

I'm not sure depressing is the correct word, but it does seem that whole concept of 'dating' these days is a completely different animal to the one that I used to know. It seems to have evolved into a series of tests and guidelines that I just don't really understand, but again that's probably down to me being a forty-something happily married fella. Hard work indeed and I don't envy you chaps at all, but best of luck with it

I did feel a bit guilty when I slaughtered my first few Horde in a BG I would have named the toon Lordhawhaw, but as he opposed the 'Allies' it probably wouldn't have worked so well. Maybe Benedict...
