  1. Yup, definitely looks like a Tower of Joy moment that.
  2. 85 nil to Newcastle.
  3. Generally yes. The graphics are (obviously) starting to look dated now but it more than makes up for that with it's huge entertainment factor.
  4. Red Dead Redemption and Red Dead Redemption: Undead Nightmare on PS3 (picked them up again for a whopping £4 each) Ratchet and Clank on PS4 which is very enjoyable indeed.
  5. Absolutely incredible achievement. Fair **** play to them I'm genuinely chuffed for their fans.
  6. I always thought the correct reply was 'a walk'.
  7. Blood Ceremony at the Rainbow tonight
  8. All the best people have birthdays today
  9. So Civil War is excellent. Easily the best of the Marvel films since the Avengers Assemble and a high watermark for anything that follows in it's footsteps. The Russo's deserve a huge amount of credit. Everyone on their A game, an interesting plot and although the main villain doesn't particularly stand out, they have at least tried something more interesting with their storyline and motives. Oh, and something for @Stevo985, due to the nature of the storyline and where Tony Stark is in his own personal story, there are practically zero one-liners or comedic lines from Iron Man. In fact, while we're on the subject of Iron Man, I have to give special kudos to RDJ. Without giving too much away, he's in quite a different place in this movie and Downey absolutely smashes it out of the park. Couple of other things which i'll spoiler just in case:
  10. Off to see Civil War at ten this morning (birthday treat ) Looking forward to it a lot.
  11. Yeah I think i might have mentioned this before on here (maybe to you OBE?) but I like a lot of the behind the scenes stuff that went on re. The Outsiders. The guys that played the rough kids got crappy dog eared scribbled versions of the script and stayed in low-rent apartments, whereas the actors playing the upper class kids got leather bound scripts and stayed in swanky hotels. All in the name of creating some 'real' friction between the two which Coppola wanted to leak onto the screen. As for Rumble Fish - still one of my favourite movies of all time, contains one of the greatest character entrances ever (Motorcyle Boy ofc) and a major reason why I got so heavily into cinematography in my teens.
  12. Oooo that's a decent title for a change. Been meaning to have a bash at a Tropico game for a while now so this is good news
  13. Oh and while we're on the subject of The Wire - i'm on the last episode of s1 of The Affair and I think it's been rather marvelous. Slow burner but never dull and I particularly like the framing of the episodes with the two perspectives, plus the story/acting has been top drawer.
  14. Still love the fact that Nick Sobotka is Porn Tash from OintNB
  15. Not on The Times front page either.
