I've been playing through RDR again on the PS3 - it's aged very well indeed. The gunplay still outshines many games today and the story is still top notch. I got to the part where you travel to Mexico and the Jose Gonzales song starts up the other day. Still made the old hairs stand up on the neck, brilliant stuff.

Awful film. Compston is a great actor and is so much better than that rubbish. I've read a fair few books about Paul Ferris and Arthur Thompson and it could have been so much better with a decent script and director.

Definite 85 nil to us now that Bruce is on board, but I'd probably take a scrappy 84 nil and push on from there.

To be honest, there is never going to be a unanimously accepted managerial appointment is there? There will always be people who have different ideas of what the club needs and who the next incumbent is. That's just you know...people innit. I've certainly no issue with people being hugely sceptical of Bruce, I was exactly the same with Sherwood and RDM but at the same time, I was willing to give them a chance because football being football, occasionally a manager just fits a club like a glove and it all comes together. We can but hope eh? As for Bruce? yeah, I think he'll do OK. I think he'll be unspectacular, get us reasonably well organised and maybe start playing something resembling a balanced team (not 'ALL THE STRIKERS!!!'). I'm certainly nowhere near as nervous about his appointment as some of his predecessors. We need someone to drag the team in the right direction again. Hopefully he can be the one to do it.

Oh I agree that was pretty reprehensible really. It has of course, meant the buzz for the new series is pretty much off the scale. Whether they'll be able to maintain the momentum remains to be seen though (they won't).

Haha - there's some belters in that video - love the cop that follows him into the water! Funnily enough, I haven't seen a single bad one, only a few random pop-up issues.

If it's not Glenn, Maggie or Daryl then I think it will lose a huge amount of impact. Abraham is a good character but there's no way his death would be important enough.

I don't think it will be for everyone, but some games just click with me and this is definitely one. It does open up more as you progress, but there's certainly not the overwhelming amount of side missions/events/challenges that there are in GTA. I think that's a very deliberate choice though, as I think they wanted the main story to be focus.

You're the second person that has recommended those recently so i've just ordered them. They sound up my street to be fair.
