Re. Partridge, don't forget the absolutely fantastic work of genius that is The Day Today which is where it all started. Or if you want to be pedantic, get On the Hour (the original radio show that spawned The Day Today). I've still got On the Hour on bbc cassette from when I was introduced to it around 92.
It's about this...
No matter which walk of life you occupy, no matter where you are on your personal ladder, no matter how far you climb, someone will always be shitting on you from above and no matter how hard you try, ultimately things will stay the same.
Cool.
Some of the textures are still a bit meh, but it does look rather lovely in lot's of places. The lighting has been done very well indeed and the extended draw distance is great for when you're up high and fancy a look around.
One thing that's a HUGE improvement is the loading times when you fast travel / enter a building or dungeon. It was ridiculous on the PS3.
I've completely fell in love with this game all over again.
It's absolutely fantastic.
@DK82 If I were you Den, just get to the first main town (Riverwood) and pick up a few quests, get a couple of bits of equipment together and get yourself to Whiterun. This is a good place to visit early on as there's a waggon there that can take you to all the major cities (once you've visited them you'll be able to fast travel to them at your leisure).
Don't get too hung up on build / stats / specs early on as the game allows you to be quite flexible and you're never really locked in to a particular fighting style.
Other than that, the most fun is to be had by just exploring. You'll come across a ridiculous amount of quests/missions on your travels and will find yourself engrossed with the world and it's inhabitants pretty quickly.
I remember years gone by I would have been looking forward to this match all week.
I won't even be watching it tonight.
Makes me sad how little I care about the national side these days.
I think i've already told the horror story of how my op went on here before, but yeah it wasn't the most pleasant thing when the anaesthetic isn't implemented correctly.
Let's just say i'll never forget the feeling of fingers inside the old sack or the look on the medical staffs faces as I called them a bunch of words removed.
And yet, even after the terrors of my own experience, i'm well aware what happened to me was a complete anomaly and I still think it's a very sensible op to have if you have weighed up all the pros and cons.
