It is a good movie, but from a similar theme i've always preferred The Pianist. That is a truly stunning (and deeply upsetting) piece of work from Polanski.

I love most of the Studio Ghibli output. Grave of the Fireflies and My Neighbour Totoro are my two favourites although I have to be in the mood for GotF as it's so relentlessly sad. We watched When Marnie Was There the other night and that's another stand out.

Line of Duty, Happy Valley and The Fall for starters.

The Fall and especially Happy Valley are excellent mate. Oh, and Line of Duty series 3 is an absolute belter. I didn't think 2 could be topped but it manages it.

Just going to watch this again. Great Western, full of atmosphere and has an almost surreal quality to it. One of Clint's best.

I was one of about 3 people in the Uk to buy one of these bad boys: I always thought it was unfairly maligned as it was a very decent piece of kit for the time. AvP and Tempest 2000 were both played to death. Unfortunately, due to a lack of games I traded it in for one of these: The 3DO, which is still one of my favourite gaming systems to this day. Unlike the Jaguar, there was a decent amount of cracking games available for it, and one of my fondest memories is spending hours playing Road Rash 3D with the good lady wife (we'd not long met). This was of course in between sessions of booze and naughty fumbling, i'm not that much of a geek Notable mentions for Need for Speed, Return Fire, PO'ed, FIFA 93 (which had a terrific cheat system which allowed invisible walls and ultra fast balls!) oh, and Wing Commander III where you got to be Luke Skywalker and I kid you not, shag a porn star

Just booked up for this next year: They're playing Among the Living in it's entirety and as i've always been a huge fan of the band and that album in particular this was a must see. Plus, unlike certain other older bands of that era **cough Metallica cough** they are still making good albums and don't suck the corporate cock.
