  1. Had myself a 'Classic 80's' night tonight. Planes, Trains and Automobiles followed by Commando.
  2. If I can manage to do it then you lot bloody well can!!!
  3. Martin Shkreli Buys Fugazi, Jacks Ticket Price Up to $9
  4. Yeah, he appeared early morning in the desert. Killing it gained me about 10 levels so it was worth it!
  5. FFS. I hate this year. My favourite comedy series of all time and he was a major factor in that. R.I.P.
  6. I've put a couple of hours in so far. First off, this game is pretty damned stunning visually. Occasional ropey textures but on the whole it looks lovely and the character models are very impressive. There isn't much story so far (and almost no cut scenes) so i'm just picking up scraps of info. That's not an issue at all at the moment as i'm just finding my feet with the combat which is solid enough (I was genuinely surprised it wasn't turn based ). So, that leaves me with the characters. Wow, how incredibly wafer thin and cliche ridden their dialogue is so utterly derivative and daft and yet for some miraculous reason...it really works. I genuinely enjoy hanging around with them and there's an almost fantastical twee quality to their whole relationship. I'm very early in as i've said but i'm already quite attached to them. Oh, and I just had the toughest fight of the game so far...against a Cactus. Genuine LOL moment when I realised what I was fighting. So yeah, hopefully i'll continue to have fun. Maybe there's a particularly menacing group of Octotillo I can take on next.
  7. That sounds right up my street - added to my 'need to watch' list
  8. Yes, I disagree re. the pace too. There was an incredible amount of exposition in the first couple of episodes which I think was to be expected as they had to cover a lot of ground, but that's thinned out as the show has progressed. I think it's been a very good case of showing just enough each week to keep the intrigue and just enough to keep us guessing where the whole story arc will end up. Personally I think it's been a triumphant piece of TV and roll on the second series.
  9. I've never played it tbh, but I have heard the comparison made before. Stardew Valley is a ridiculously good game though - it definitely got it's hooks into me.
  10. Following on from the top 10 albums, here's the movie version. Same rules apply... No **** 'honourable mentions'! Stick to 10 movies and that's it!...please Here's mine: 1. The Assassin 2. Deadpool 3. Neon Demon 4. Anomalisa 5. Dheepan 6. Our Little Sister 7. The Revenant 8. Room 9. Tale of Tales 10. The Witch Note - I have gone by IMDB's 'released in the UK' date. So if it's 2016 on there then that's cool
  11. Righty ho, as it's now December and the year is drawing to a close I thought it was time for the annual album list. I always find this interesting and I always seem to read a couple of recommendations that have managed to slip under my radar. ***NOTE*** No **** 'honourable mentions'! Stick to 10 albums and that's it!...please Here's mine: 1. Helms Alee - Stillicide 2. Whores - Gold 3. Regina Spektor - Remember us to Life 4. God Damn - Everything Ever 5. Dinosaur Jnr - Give a glimpse of what yer not 6. Gojira - Magma 7. Rival Sons - Hollow Bones 8. Primitive Weapons - The Future of Death 9. PJ Harvey - Hope Six Demolition Project 10. Nick Cave - Skeleton Tree Honourable mentions to... i'm just **** wit ya
  12. Stardew Valley is finally coming to console on the 14th December. One of the best games of the year for me and one i'm looking forward to playing on the PS4. Great game.
  13. Just installing it now. The last FF I played was the MMO - which was a short lived experience due to it giving me the WoW bug back so I buggered off to Azeroth instead. Before that I think it was VIII which I remember actually liking more than VII (sacrilege I know ) So basically, i'm not hugely clued up on the series but after watching a few videos and reading some of the reviews today it did look like something i'll enjoy. Hope my gut feeling is right
  14. I'm at the Uncle Acid and Clutch gigs. Really excited about seeing UA
  15. Exactly what I did. I knew what I'd be buying and wasn't disappointed.
  16. Safe to say that the frightening mixture of Nick Cave and Sacha Baron Cohen pictured below: Is one of my earliest musical heroes. The fantastic game soundtracks that he managed to get out of a C64 were astonishing for the time and technology. So here's a nice long mix to take those of a certain age back:
  17. It's a theory I agree with as I mentioned a few pages ago. There's too much pointing that way for it to be coincidence for me.
  18. Easily in my top ten for this year
