When Kermode reviewed the movie, he said something along the lines of 'its so much a Tom Cruise movie that they should have just called it Tom Cruise'
Oh well, at least I've got My Cousin Rachel to look forward to at the weekend. No Joe Pesci though
I used to really like him (Phoenix Nights was genius imo) but after reading and hearing first hand what an absolutely vile person he is irl it completely put me off.
Doesn't help that apart from PN I haven't liked anything he's put his name to.
You know my thoughts on that.
I allowed myself a little wry smile when the first reviews started filtering through as I had expected it to be poor from the trailer.
I'm going to see it next week (I have a cinema pass so might as well) although I imagine I'll need a Karloff and Lugosi double bill to cleanse the palate afterwards.
What a waste of brilliant characters.
Absolute opposite for me re.FB. I seem to have around 90% of friends voting for Labour and then one or two for that other lot.
Heartening in some ways, but unfortunately it does mean i'll have a lot of unhappy friends over the next couple of days (barring a miracle).
