  1. Tickets booked for Shape of Water this weekend. Not gonna lie, I'm expecting this to be film of the year material for me.
  2. I really hope many of your posts are down to being 'lost in translation' because otherwise you really need to have a word with yourself over your perception of women.
  3. Didn't @Genie just mean he (Benteke) has replaced Young as the player many villans seemingly want back at the club? That was my take on it anyway. Happy to be corrected.
  4. I think it's really great that even his harshest critics are now recognising that things are on an upward trajectory and there's been improvement. I wanted him gone a few times and thought he'd be replaced before Xmas so I'm very happy that he's proving me wrong. Unfortunately there will always be a tiny minority without the humility or intelligence to budge their myopic views even an inch. Keep proving us wrong Steve.
  5. Yeah, but look at him! he's just brilliant isn't he?* *No, he's a total weapon.
  6. Christ almighty! You lot work with some absolute animals I think the worst I've ever seen in 30 years plus of employment is a few skids and some decaying bogies.
  7. At least he'll be able to concentrate on his next movie now...
  8. Really enjoyed that one. The whole concept was creepy as ****.
  9. 'Stuart a Life Backwards' again tonight. Early Hardy and Cumberbatch and absolutely fantastic, emotional stuff.
  10. Yep, expect a shower of sex wee in the QB area if Jack gets the winner tomorrow.
  11. Talking of the 'kitchen sink' era. Managed to pick up 'Cathy come home' for a quid on DVD the other day. What a brilliant piece of work from Sandford and Ken Loach. Its not hard to see why Loach in particular has gone on to such a distinctive career. It's also sad to see that many of the issues raised still haven't been completely eradicated today.
  12. Blimey that's a shock. Incredibly talented guy.
  13. Well yeah. How else could I slag it off so reliably As an aside I spoke to the director after he read my review on Twitter and to be fair he seemed a decent bloke.
  14. One of the most awful, repugnant and downright nasty movies ever made. Not a single redeeming feature on the whole thing. Utterly awful shit.
  15. Interesting. I thought although it didn't tie everything up with a neat bow, it clearly showed exactly where each character was heading. I was very impressed with it overall.
  16. To be honest Dem, as I said before I think reading the books slightly skews my memory as I'm not 100% sure how much of his motivation and character were shown in the show as I've only watched s4 once. You're right though, he's a terrific character (and great fun).
  17. Had to Mooney Sheridan Smith. I recognised her but had no idea she was so popular.
  18. Because he doesn't for a second believe that he's going to lose. That is his character. He's a warrior who is incredibly full of himself and full of righteous self belief that his entire life has been about this act of vengeance for his family.
  19. I think you've totally missed the point of his character there Dem. Admittedly his motivations and reasonings are covered more in the books so maybe some of it was lost in translation a little.
  20. Yep, it's a very old school RPG with a really detailed and well crafted world. The original had quite a steep learning curve but was a very rewarding experience. I think the sequel will be another hit.
