  1. Pfft, how were we supposed to get that we're not bloody mind readers!
  2. All joking (and mocking of the hard of thinking) aside. Another wonderful result and more proof that Smith is building something rather lovely at Villa. Something our long suffering fans can actually be proud of, even with more than a touch of well deserved and well earned reservation. Oh and in McGinn and Grealish we genuinely have a couple of sublimely gifted (albeit for very different reasons) players that we should cherish and hope to McGrath that they don't move on any time soon. These boys are the real deal ladies and gentlemen, the absolute stone cold real deal.
  3. Yep he played Al Capone. Scorsese absolutely adores him, and he's in The Irishman (upcoming Scorsese film) alongside De Niro, Pacino and Pesci.
  4. Really? Never seen Snatch? What about Boardwalk Empire?
  5. Yep, good enough for Scorsese is good enough for me.
  6. Re. Line of Duty, some lovely work from Stephen Graham and Martin Compston in the car scene this week. Also, did anyone notice in the scene when the OCG were talking about there being a ‘Rat’, Stephen Graham’s acting was top notch because he was actually acting ‘acting’ if that makes sense. This was because he was surrounded by the OCG members…It very subtly done (voice inflections etc), but superb.
  7. Bit of an 'Ice Rink' on the back there too...
  8. The utterly brilliant Seymour Cassel has died at age 84
  9. Anaal Nathrakh in Brum tonight (The Asylum) If it's anywhere near as good as the show they put on a couple of years ago it will be an absolute belter. Cannae wait
  10. It's a genuine cult classic and a must see for anyone interested in the horror genre. You'll see a fair few similarities with Escape Room I'm sure.
  11. It reminded me of a more polished but way less smart version of Cube. I quite enjoyed it.
  12. The King of Comedy thing is interesting as I was chatting to my mate about the trailer this morning and we both agreed it had an early Scorsese vibe to it. I think it looks brilliant to be honest. Right up my street.
  13. The Joaquin Phoenix Joker trailer is out. I think it looks excellent.
  14. Yes its a very good 'character' movie and Gylennhaal and Mulligan are both excellent.
  15. Some good movies on that list with You Were Never Really Here at the top. Still need to watch The Old Man and the Gun.
  16. Yep we watched Dawn Wall last night and Free Solo tonight. Both absolutely brilliant but my poor acrophobia has taken a right kicking
  17. He's an exceptional voice actor and a perfect choice for the new Chucky.
  18. Can anyone recommend a decent car dealership around the West Mids area? I'm looking to get something a little bit bigger and more comfortable but my car knowledge is limited and my mate who accompanied me on my last two purchases (ex car salesman and knew exactly what to look for) is unfortunately no longer with us. I'll be mostly looking at the used car market and have thought about leading too. Also if there is anywhere I should definitely avoid. Ta.
  19. Yeah I mentioned Can You Ever Forgive Me a few pages ago. Terrific story and McCarthy is indeed superb (I said it's her Punch Drunk Love).
