Nah I traded it in. Like I said, some games just don't click with me regardless of how well they are reviewed and this is a classic example (see also Uncharted, Last of Us, God of War etc).
I know I've said this a gazillion times on here but the thing that annoys me most about Sandler is that he CAN act.
In the rare occasions that he steps out of the comfort zone with a decent stript and director, he's actually very good.
Punch Drunk Love, Reign Over Me and the more recent Meyerowitz Stories are testament to this.
He's basically a way better straight actor than he is comedic.
Yeah I said earlier in the thread, my thoughts were that the concept was interesting but the execution was way too on the nose. There was no intricacy or subtlety to the mental transformation and what was left was a very cookie cutter horror with signposted jump scares.
A shame.
I vividly remember when CH4 launched as I watched Scum for the first time. The broadcast image quality was poor and full of static but the movie has been a favourite of mine ever since.
John's artwork continues to be amazing, he's a bloody talented bloke (a nice bloke too, I was lucky enough to meet him a few years ago at their Wolverhampton show)
Kind of the opposite for me.
New Order should be a band that I enjoy - but apart from a couple of tunes I just never have. Joy Division on the other hand are superb.
Speaking of Matt Berry, enjoyed the first episode of The Year of the Rabbit. I'll need to watch a few more to give a definitive opinion but it looks good on first impression.
Finished it tonight. Easily the best comedy I've seen for a few years. Brilliantly written (no surprise given the talent involved) and had me in bits throughout. Clever as **** with some superb references to a myriad of horror movies old and new. **** loved it.
Different strokes eh?
