  1. Absolutely superb drama bio based on the book by Billy Moore. Brutal, uncompromising and quite a hard watch at times. The performance from Joe Cole (Peaky Blinders not Chelsea) given that there is very little dialogue, is an incredibly physical and brilliantly nuanced one. If you saw him in Offender you know he's more than capable. On Amazon Prime and well recommended.
  2. Picked up the PS4 Remaster. Christ it looks absolutely glorious! It'll be interesting to see if I can finish this on console as my reflexes are not the same as they were when I played the PC version all those years ago. /gettingold
  3. Same here. It's going to be a kick in the nuts financially but there's bigger things to worry about.
  4. Lescott by a large margin for me. Everything about his time here was just repulsive.
  5. After the first hour or so they become much less frequent.
  6. Picked this up today after reading all the positive reviews. Sounds perfect for a bit of relaxing gameplay.
  7. I've been listening to a fair amount of K*nt and the Gang to raise my spirits
  8. Yeah, he's a really good sport to be fair. Always comes across very well in interviews. I'd rather guide my dad into my mom than listen to his music though.
  9. Also directed the brilliant (and very overlooked) King of the Ants. R.I.P.
  10. Bill Rieflin (King Crimson, Ministry) dead at 59
  11. Theres a good 150 hours in Ni No Kuni so you should be ok One of the best games ever so I'm a bit jealous you're getting to play it for the first time.
  12. Paddy was great as usual in that, but Jodie Whittaker absolutely stole the show - she was immense.
  13. Genuinely one of the funniest, warmest and brilliantly written films I've seen for a while. On Netflix and highly recommended.
  14. Shamelessly stolen from the excellent Brett Goldstein Podcast. Basically list the movies that have played some part in your life and possibly shaped the person that you are today.* *Please only pick one per category and no 'honourable mentions' ta Here are mine to kick off with: First movie you remember seeing? - Bambi Scariest film? - The Exorcist Funniest film? - Monty Python and the Holy Grail Movie that made you cry the most? - A Ghost Story (the ending absolutely wrecks me every time) Film you loved as a kid and think is shit now? - Moonraker Film people don't rate but you love? - Wishmaster Film people love but you don't rate? - The Matrix Worst film? - Little Man (an absolute piece of crap and the crowning turd in the Wayan Brothers sea of talentless excrement) Film that means something special to you? - The Crow (first movie myself and the good lady wife saw at the cinema) Film you relate to the most? - The Breakfast Club Sexiest film? - Bound Strange stiffies weird wide ons (like things your found sexy in a film like the midget from total recall or lady from lady and the tramp)? - Galadriel in the 1978 animated Lord of the Rings movie Best case of cinematography (not your favourite more like Lawrence of Arabia where it's a masterpiece but it's not a film you'd watch loads)? - The Tree of Life (doubt I'd watch it again but it is stunning to look at) Favourite film? - 12 Angry Men What one film would you take to heaven with you (doesn't have to be any from the list)? - Blade Runner
  15. I have the Plat on it. The only one that's a pain is the one where you have to unlock the whole map. Apart from that they aren't too bad.
  16. Supposed to be seeing them in April...
  17. My Dying Bride - The Ghost of Orion. Another top notch release as always. Beautifully atmospheric.
  18. That's shit news. Genuinely one of my favourite actors
  19. Watched this last night... Pretty much a two hander exploring the complicated relationship between LSL and his mother. An absolute acting masterclass from Spall and Redgrave who are both on fine form.
  20. That's interesting. I haven't seen her in TWD but Samantha Morton is a terrific actor. I'll put it down to a shit script
  21. Yep already have that one earmarked.
  22. I hate that quote. What a load of cobblers.
  23. Tell you who would love this discussion? That Arsenal fan we had on here called @gharperr...
  24. Coronavirus cases in the UK up to 85.
