I hit Level 50 today. Odd to think I've been mooching around for half a century. There's been a fair few times I didn't think I'd make it this far, but at the moment I'm really glad I have. Cheers.

Absolutely. It's one of my favourites at the moment and it's lovely seeing Whittaker and D'Onofrio go head to head. The writing is good as they haven't tried to softsoap the man that Bumpy Johnson was, but I still find myself rooting for him. It's a difficult one to pull off (Kengif), but they've managed it. Also, does Paul Sorvino have a portrait in the attic? He doesn't look much different to when he was in Goodfellas in 1990.

Yeah, she was in Nil by Mouth (Oldman's Directorial debut). Also (geeky fact incoming) her name is Laila Morse which is an anagram of 'mia sorella', which is 'my sister' in Italian. This was suggested by Gary as she didn't want to use the Oldman name.

There's elements of a few of his works in this one. The biggest thing for me was he kept the story reasonably tight and straightforward yet utterly compelling and entertaining. Not gonna lie, it 'got me in the feels' on more than one occasion.

Thought Line of Duty was very good again. Nicely building up to a finale that's hopefully not too OTT like last series. And Kelly Macdonald...take a bow. She absolutely knocked it out the park this week.

I think I recommended this earlier in the thread. I thought it was excellent. Really interesting, slow burn psychological drama.

Alexa is brilliant tbh. We have three of them dotted around the house (not sure of the model but it's one with the screen for watching TV etc) and they are incredibly useful. The one in the kitchen is a godsend for timers and when I'm cooking / washing up it's perfect to pop on some Spotify / Amazon tunes. Really great pieces of kit.

Just to prove your point further, this is definitely me. His first few albums are terrific. The old 'yeah, you only like obscure stuff and hate all mainstream music' argument that some people bring up on VT from time to time is pretty tiresome to be honest. It's also been disproved over and over.

Oh yeah, Document and Green are still great albums I just seem to get more out of post-Out of Time stuff - with the exception of Around the Sun, which could never get on with.
