Never seen an episode of it tbh. Whenever I've caught a minute here and there it's always looked unfunny and shit.
I do however realise it has a good reputation, so I may watch a couple of episodes to see if it sticks.
Yeah that's another good point - it's absolutely grounded when it comes to morality. The characters are never caricatures, they all have depth and a zillion shades of grey.
It's been interesting listening to Jericho's podcast recently when he's been talking to the stars that have gone to AEW from WWE (Christian, Paul Wight and Mox etc) - it seems the difference between the behind the scenes vibe, how they approach the storylines and utilise talent seems to be a million miles away from Vince and Co.
I think this has been coming for a while from AEW - steadily building the company brand, the characters and the storylines and seemingly learning from the plethora (thanks) of mistakes that McMahon has been making for over a decade now.
But yeah, that PVP definitely felt like something special was happening.
That's one of it's (many) strengths - the ensemble cast and their characters are all so brilliantly written and acted that picking an absolute favourite is very difficult.
Love the shit out of that album.
I saw them live when they toured it and it was a wonderful high energy joyous occasion.
Pity they never really hit the same level again.
Got a few on the go at the moment:
Hades (PS5)
Mortall Shell (new Expansion on PS5)
Kingdom of Amalur Re-Reckoning (New 4K update on PS5)
Dead Cells (Finally making some progress on this - it's a great game)
Marvels Spiderman (Bought the Miles Morales Ultimate Version but I'm playing the remastered version of this first)
Also attempting No Death runs on Dark Souls 1 and Demon's Souls. Came close a couple of times on both, but I always seem to have a momentary lack of concentration which **** me over
Yay! That's great news mate! Made up for you
**edit** sorry hadn't read the following post so made a quick edit. You'll be absolutely fine though! Kids are great (just make sure you put socks on them )
I really like Dead Cells but I'm so bad at it that I've never even got to the first boss. I just seem to have a gaming blind spot for side scrollers (I'm the same with Hollow Knight) - it's a shame because I can see they're both great games.
As for Hades, I'm still plugging away and have been within a gnats cock of beating the final boss (first escape) a few times but can't quite get it over the line.
It'll happen though.
I've been enjoying it. I do agree it isn't up to the quality of the first season though and I'm wondering if that's because there's no antagonists for Ted to overcome? That was such a big focus in the first series and I think it's missed.
