  1. I'm with @lapal_fanon this. Not a single bit of this sits right with me.
  2. As an aside, when I was at college (late 80's) this film was kinda the Holy Grail of movies you had to see. The first time I watched it was on VHS...in Italian Such was my desire to watch it I didn't give a hoot, from the superb opening sequence I could tell I'd love it even in a different language. A few weeks later a friend and I ventured to Oasis in Brum where in the dingy downstairs store a guy sold us a copy of the UK version - the quality was appalling in comparison to the Italian one but hey, I'd finally watched it
  3. I was talking about the UK tbh and even then it wasn't banned, it was withdrawn from circulation by Kubrick. I think there were only a couple of places that officially banned it upon release and others who insisted on cuts.
  4. That was down to Kubrick though, not the censors.
  5. I'm glad I watched some gameplay videos because although it looks like a very polished game, it didn't look up my street at all.
  6. Recently binged: Save Me and Save Me Too - Superb stuff and a really good ensemble cast. Back to Life - Very good indeed, Daisy Haggard is a terrific comic writer / actor. Also watching Heels which is an entertaining drama with Stephen Amell (Arrow) and Alexander Ludwig (Vikings) And talking of Vikings, after all the positive reviews on here (and elsewhere) I'm going to give it a go this week.
  7. So they're only making plans without Nigel.
  8. A Software Tester walks into a bar. Walks into a bar. Runs into a bar. Crawls into a bar. Dances into a bar. Flies into a bar. Jumps into a bar. And orders: a beer. 2 beers. 0 beers. 99999999 beers. a lizard in a beer glass. -1 beer. "qwertyuiop" beers. Testing complete. A real customer walks into the bar and asks where the bathroom is. The bar goes up in flames.
  9. I recommend Heartwork and Surgical Steel.
  10. New Carcass album Torn Arteries is out.
  11. It's beyond parody now isn’t it? Fair play to it, it makes me laugh every time it posts.
  12. I may have told you this one before. Many years ago me and a mate were sitting in a quiet boozer in Brum. Proper spit and sawdust place with really nice draught beer. Anyway, a couple of pints down and in walks Ali Campbell. He orders his drink and then goes over to the jukebox and puts on 'Red Red **** Wine'... Me and my mate could barely contain our sniggering.
  13. There was a third? Only ever saw the first one and the sequel (Cosmic Cheerleaders) which I actually watched at AMC (when it was called that) with an ex girlfriend of mine. She thought it was great fun
  14. Completely deliberate - he (Wan) wanted more stilted dialogue in some scenes to evoke the feel of 80's horror movies. There was also a shit load of giallo nods amongst his usual style. Glad you enjoyed it though
  15. The only one that springs immediately to mind would be IDLES. They were formed in 2009 tbh, but they weren't really in the public gaze until 4 or 5 years ago.
  16. Just re subbed mine at Odeon - very surprised to see the price has gone down to £9.99 a month! - It's a no brainer for that much. Surprised you haven't seen A Clockwork Orange before - For me it's a masterpiece and still stands up well today so it'll be interesting to see what you think of it.
  17. Sorry to hear that Ruge. The really good thing is that you've recognised you're having issues again and taken a step to address them. That in itself is a huge positive.
  18. I think that's the most apt gif I've ever seen
