Something I feel that this manager has tapped into perfectly is the fact that we have a huge, passionate fanbase who were waiting for decades to be 'mobilised' and energised again. He puts us, the supporters, at the forefront of everything he says. Unai fully understands the potential of AVFC on and off the pitch and I think our huge commercial expansion into America is proof of the latter. There is nothing I can say about what we have done on the pitch that hasn't been said a hundred times already. Not sure how to word it, I think he just knew from minute one that we are a club who have been waiting for a catalyst for so long. When I became fascinated by Villa as a kid I wanted to learn all about our history, and now thanks to Unai I am so thankful that I live in the present. Doesn't feel real and it never will.

It's so easy to dream about where you could be instead of enjoying where you already stand. Especially with football.

Well, I am friends with a Hammers fan who is at the game today, and it goes without saying that her and I are not talking until it's all over! To be honest this is a tough match... As always I believe that we can win but I am expecting a very hard contest.

If Unai thinks he can turn the page with us then he obviously can. Score some goals and I am sure all will be forgotten. He is young and probably stupid, we don't know who might be in his ear etc. Gaffer has probably had a chat and made him realise that he is playing for a massive club with huge potential.

Said this to my dad the other day after a bit too much to drink... Unai Emery is like a composer, the Mozart of football. A man capable of conducting his orchestra to greater heights than they could have ever imagined reaching. The man is an artist, a footballing genius, and I seriously believe that he can bring us to multiple trophies. It may take time, yes we could struggle this season, but he is the man to get us there. When all is said and done, we will be his masterpiece.

Well this is interesting. I believe in second chances I suppose. We don't know what's said behind closed doors at the club, maybe the gaffer has had a chat and he wants to turn it around. Probably realised this is the biggest club he will ever play for. Not sure how I feel about all of this but if he starts banging them in I'm sure we can put all of this behind us.

Can't have a proper opinion until we really see it, but from the "leak" I'd say the away shirt looks a bit boring. In reality it'll probably have me scrambling for my wallet the second it comes out.

Chelsea? Really? He certainly won't get his career on track there! Oh well. I'm sure the Dynamic Duo have another target in mind who will do very well for us. Not upset by this news at all.

Very exciting for the away and third shirts now... I feel like that is where we'll see some really cool and classic designs, possibly relating to the 150th. I think someone said the third shirt is white? If it has thin stripes as well, I'm dreaming!

Not worried about pre-season much at all, just the transfer situation and I'm sure that will get fixed. Putting my trust in King Unai, he knows what to do. He's here for the long haul, he undoubtedly has a plan to keep us competing every season.

Klopp- kind of surprised to see him completely retire. The Liverpool job must have really, really taken it out of him. I do think he could possibly be back in a few years if he gets that desire back and there is a good project for him but it's not likely in my opinion.
