Maguire, Phillips and Henderson picks are a joke. Colwill and Nketiah in because they play for Chelsea and Arsenal. Rashford and Grealish in bad form but still picked. Bowen and Watkins have had to play out of their skins to get a sniff. Players like Konsa, Burn, JWP, Gordon all playing well not given a chance. He can't go soon enough

I would say replacing him with an unknown quantity is a risk that we don't want or need to take. Of course he has his moments that frustrate but overall he is a very well rounded player in terms of pace, strength, hold up play, work rate etc. He actually scores a lot of goals out of not very much too if you think about his 2nd v Brighton and the winner v Chelsea, he receives the ball just inside the opponents half and has a lot of work to do. I don't think many players can do that. I was looking at striker options that could play in our team and be a sure fire improvement and other than Haaland and Mbappe I'm honestly left scratching my head. He's got 23 goal contributions in 2 of the 3 seasons here and I'm pretty sure he will beat that this season. Sign the contract!

Not ideal. At least there is a lot of attacking options to step in though this season. I'd guess Leon or Salmon will come in.

Never really rated Sorensen myself. Mostly remember shots going through him and him blaming the defence for everything. Also I doubt Newcastle would let Dubravka go considering he's their no.2.

Going to try and predict the squad and see how close I can get to thinking like Southgate. That's because they're under different jurisdiction. This will be the first time the premier league has to make a decision like this in terms of FFP breaches unless I'm mistaken? So it will be interesting to see how harsh the punishment is compared to what the EFL do. Man City is the one I can't wait for though, I want the book thrown at them and titles stripped. I suspect I'll be left disappointed though.

Yeah their defence has been reasonably solid but still scoring less than a goal a game on average is awful for what they've spent.

Before their game against Fulham they'd scored less PL goals in 2023 than Leeds and Leicester. Now ahead by 1 after playing 8/9 more matches Everton are still 1 ahead having played 2 matches less.
