This is what I mean though, they will steal a few wins and paper over the cracks for a little bit but will be in trouble when they face top half teams.
I said it last week, they will have a little mini revival with their run of games v Fulham, Copenhagen, Luton, Everton but then next month it's Newcastle, Liverpool, Chelsea, ourselves and it will be turmoil again.
Horrific start to the season. With some of the signings we've made the squad should be stronger in theory too. Not sure what the plan was with some of the signings though, we seem top heavy. It reminds me a little of when we signed Ings, Bailey and Buendia with no real idea how to get the best out of them. I wonder if it will be a the same outcome for Ward as it was for Smith. I've no idea who we could get though?
Would take any kind of win but wouldn't be surprised with a draw here. They don't lose many at home and raise their game v good opposition (beat Arsenal and Liverpool last season, drew with City etc)
I could be wrong but I don't think Sanson is capable of playing in our midfield, especially the 2 deeper positions. That's not saying Dendoncker is either though.
So many of these owners who gamble the club's future on promotion. Xia, Morris and Chansiri to name a few just off the top of my head in the last several years.
He should have no trouble finding himself a similar job then should he.
Honestly just seems there was an arrogance with that generation of English players like they know it all and couldn't be taught anything. Always sceptical of change and new methods.
