True but there's a lot of players that have been in the squad such a long time that missing a squad or 2 wouldn't hurt like Maguire, Walker, Trippier, Henderson etc. Also what happens if there's injuries and there is nobody he's seen/trusts enough to come in and replace them. It's a wasted opportunity to test a few different players IMO. There must be a few that are at least on the cusp? Even when there are withdrawals he rarely replaces them! Agreed on LB, I don't know why he doesn't just give Mitchell another go considering he's capped him before. Or dare I say Dan Burn deserves a chance. Shame Rico Henry got injured as he'd surely deserve a chance by now.

It's potentially a shame that from next season onwards you can't drop into the Europa League as that would be a nice safety net if we qualify for the CL but aren't quite ready.

This is one of my biggest gripes. Already qualified and playing 2 favourable opponents. Just stop being so safe and boring. There should be several players he at least wants a closer look at.

And if they pull out he won't even replace them

At 2-0 "it's probably game over here already" Also United fans whinging about decisions is pure irony. So used to having everything go their way.

Newcastle and Tottenham have had more luck than us so far in terms of decisions and injuries which is annoying but that might have started to turn a little now, at least for Tottenham. You can't rule out Man Utd of course if they find some kind of cohesion. They have been very poor but have somehow still put 18 points on the board. Hopefully Chelsea have too many issues and don't click, but we already have a nice cushion on them at least. Brighton seem to have gone off the boil a little, possibly concentrating on the Europa League but still in 7th so not a bad start by any means. Overall though I think it will be between ourselves, Newcastle and Tottenham for 4th, 5th and 6th. Hopefully we can pip at least 1 of them for CL football.

I'd say City, Arsenal and Liverpool are the best 3 but after that it's fine margins for the next few positions.
