I wonder if Pau could actually start at LB first match instead of Digne to combat Newcastle's height and set piece threat.
I certainly wouldn't break up the Mings, Konsa partnership though.
Cutler seemed to do well here but I think Unai having his own GK coach (Javi Garcia) is important for the way he wants the goalkeepers to play. Cutler did work with Olsen for around 10 months too.
Agreed. I remember when they used to be a good footballing team in the championship and that was their identity, but it seems like they've basically ditched their principles just to get to the premier league and stay there.
Yeah maybe although I can't help thinking having 2 goalkeepers who are both used to being no.1 never usually works out. 1 usually leaves within 12 months.
I think Timber is a good signing to strengthen them at RB/CB where they were a bit weak last season. Plus Rice of course (although I think they overpaid). I do think they're probably still missing something though.
Quite odd if Raya goes to Arsenal to be no.2. The only thing I can think is that he's possibly already no.2 at Brentford now anyway after the arrival of Flekken.
Chelsea signing Monaco defender Axel Disasi for around £38M.
I can't believe how much Chelsea have managed to spend over the last 12 months without a great squad to show for it or even many top players.
In fact I'd go as far as to say their squad was better 12-18 months ago!
The one thing I'm clinging to is that he's just not up to speed yet after several months out and he's only had around 45 mins of football since about March?
