I think the problem is even if you're good at them on the training pitch you can't replicate the tension of an important match, like the one towards the end of last season at Anfield. And it's not even like that one was saved, he missed the goal. I love Ollie but he's not a penalty taker.

Coutinho has actually scored all 12 he has taken in his career so could be an option but not sure how often he'll be on the pitch

Tielemans or Douglas for me. The most accurate players we have with the ball.

I'm certainly not writing him off just yet but he's looked a little bit lost in pre season to me and the ball doesn't stick as much in the final third when he's on. I think he might be an option to play up front with Watkins but not instead of.

While I agree it's pretty pointless worrying about the financial aspect, I just wonder if we could actually do better from a footballing point of view.

Well Unai has talked about using 3 centre backs in a back 4 so I'd assume that would be Konsa at RB some matches and Pau at LB for others. Can't really say for sure it won't work based off 1 match. There were good parts about it though, especially in the way we built up. I'm not suggesting we don't sign another full back or 2 either if Digne leaves, I just think he's replaceable.

I don't necessarily want rid but at the same time wouldn't be too bothered if we sold him. He's essentially cover/rotation and quite expensive cover at that. I have a hunch Pau is going to start there while Moreno is out too.

£40M for a guy who despite showing promise hasn't played all that that much football and now been out for a year with a serious injury. I say let Newcastle have him.
