Yeah that's true although I think they were shocking in all the finals so maybe not bad luck, but I take your point that it allowed them to get to that position.
I have flip flopped on this question myself but am going with the trophy just because it's been far too long and a bird in the hand is worth 2 in the bush.
But no completely agree it's probably the most excited I've been going into a season. I mentioned in another thread how reassuring it is to know everything is being analysed from matches and the team are being prepared properly going into matches.
In theory but then you look at a team like Spurs who have had their fair share of Champions League football over the last 13 years yet still have no success or silverware to show for it.
From a business point of view there's no denying CL football would be the best choice but from a supporter point of view I'd rather have a trophy, especially when it's getting on for 30 years since the last one.
Maybe Livramento is being signed to play left back? I think he's comfortable playing either side if I'm not mistaken.
Bold statement with your last line after how well it's gone so far!
I'm not sure who comes in for him next year in England either. United seemed the obvious one but they seem to have gone with Højlund instead. Maybe Chelsea? But can't see who else.
It's so reassuring to know that everything is constantly being analysed and worked on as Unai seeks perfection. To actually feel prepared going into matches and have a plan.
Anyway back on topic and I'd prefer if Watkins didn't take the pens anymore but I'm sure Unai will sort it one way or another.
Yeah I thought similar. Also some of the mistakes that led to goals. Better they happen in pre season and you can be sure Unai is analysing everything to iron out the details.
Yeah they're never usually that accurate I don't think but just a bit of fun.
I'd go along with your assessment about the teams who we might have overtaken and who has strengthened. I think if a couple of the other teams have off seasons like Chelsea, then top 4 is possible. I wouldn't expect us to finish any lower than 8th and even then I think that would be if Europe takes it's toll. So I'll go somewhere in the middle and say 6th.
