  1. It's interesting what they're doing. They've effectively moved on any older players and are instead building a squad full of young players with potential, and Pochettino seems like a decent fit for that approach. However I'm not entirely sure why they've done it when they were already top 4 regulars and recent champions league winners. It seems like a gamble they didn't need to take. It could well pay off but at the moment it seems like 2 steps backwards.
  2. I wouldn't be surprised if he was the striker option, even though he hasn't really played there much it looks like he has the qualities for it. Someone posted a video of a hat-trick he scored in the conference league and he was making the runs of a good CF and finished like one too.

    Tyler Adams

Considering we have Kamara, Luiz, Tielemans, Dendoncker and McGinn that can play there it's probably not a priority. Maybe if Donk leaves?
  4. Thank god we don't have to face his cheating again (until next season in the champions league )
  5. Might make you less likely to get a good doctor/surgeon though

Yeah this makes a lot of sense in the transfer merry-go-round
  7. I dunno, I can't say the Hungary prime minister has ever impressed me that much though
  8. Yep that's the one. Steven Taylor was sent off for handball too, so they actually finished with 8 players the last time we beat them there
  9. But surprised Burnley have spent over £300M tbf. The comparison when they play Luton will be far worse!
  10. It was mad enough when it was huge money for elite match winners. Now it seems to be just for anyone remotely decent!
  11. Article on PL injuries last season https://theathletic.com/4612629/2023/07/02/injuries-premier-league-2022-23-data/
  12. Ah that's how Steve Bruce was in it so long then (sorry Alex if you're still reading)
  13. Well they're entitled to value him at that. Anyone who pays it has lost the plot though!
  14. THE CLAUSE - The contract that Zaniolo has signed includes a release clause that will decrease over time: 35 million euros in the summer, between 28 and 30 million in 2024 and between 23 and 25 the following year. From here: https://www.calciomercato.com/news/zaniolo-non-aspetta-il-milan-voglio-la-champions-col-galatasaray-99501
  15. I saw talk he has a €35M release clause so they probably knew there was a good chance he wasn't going to be there long. They obviously won't be keen on it being a loan though so may have to end up paying a bigger loan fee to get him.
  16. Well at least Burnley were legitimate champions (maybe)
  17. Our last win there was over 18 years ago! Time to put that right.
