  1. Yeah not ideal is it. I suppose the thing is he has 3 years on a contract rumoured to be between £120,000 and £160,000 PW. That means he'll be costing the club £18-25M if he sees out his contract here. Maybe the club think it's just best to cut their losses?
  2. Nice are just working on remortgaging the football club first
  3. Looking at their strikers I'd be surprised if it was.
  4. Surely Hause is a good signing for most championship teams if he can stay fit. Or I suppose it could be Iroegbunam.
  5. I think so https://www.bbc.co.uk/iplayer/help/questions/programme-availability/national-regional-programmes#:~:text=On our BBC iPlayer TV,any of the English regions.
  6. Looking at their squad they only have 3 CBs so Hause is a good shout. As @useless says they already have good attacking players so not likely to be Davis or Archer
  7. As per yesterday, Villa's 2 quickest substitute goals in the PL were both against Everton and were scored by John and Jhon.
  8. Probably thought it was the Liverpool one
  9. Seems cheap. Man City making a £40M loss there!
  10. Yep that's exactly what I think when I look at their signings.
  11. I still don't really get why they ripped up a team that finished top 4 and recently won a CL to replace it with a load of gambles. Sure the likes of Kante were getting older and probably needed replacing but they pretty much have a new squad. I understand they're going for young players with potential but they're not guaranteed to reach it and there doesn't seem enough experience around them (Silva excepted). For £1BN I would have expected a much higher calibre of player too. Now it might all come good eventually but you can't say it isn't a huge gamble.
  12. Count me in as another who'd stop supporting Villa if they had owners like Newcastle. I know it wouldn't make a difference but at least my conscience would be clear and I wouldn't be complicit in the sports washing.
  13. I think at Newcastle we did go something like this for the last half hour: Konsa - Carlos - Pau Cash Kamara Luiz Digne It looks like it's something Unai is going to change to in certain situations considering we have seen it already in both matches. I wonder if he decided to do it v Everton once the game was won just to try and build some confidence and understanding with the shape rather than it being specifically for that situation.
  14. Him and Enciso will be the next big money sales I predict. Both excellent.
  15. Emi 8 Cash 6 Konsa 8 Pau 7 Digne 8 Kamara 7 Dougie 8 Bailey 8 McGinn 9 Diaby 7 Watkins 6 Carlos 7, Tielemans 7, Coutinho 7, Duran 7, Archer 6
  16. I had McGinn and Digne as the better performers in the first half. The trip/slip I was referring to was by the halfway line so sounds like we might be thinking of different incidents.
  17. Yeah against Newcastle they arguably got most of their joy after the switch. Today it made us look a bit disjointed too although that could have been all the substitutions. Still it's obviously something Unai wants to work on considering he's trying it and hopefully it's just a case of the players getting to grips with it.
  18. So it looks like plan B is a sort of 3-4-3 then? The last 2 matches we seem to have gone to 3 central defenders and wingbacks for the last 20-30 minutes.
  19. Even with the current injuries Archer and Philogene have only got off the bench for a few minutes too.
