I kind of agree that beyond the top few teams in Ligue 1 I don't find the standard wholly convincing, and it would also explain why players like Guilbert look good there.

Was he just doing that thing that teams have started doing now where 1 player holds the ball to take any pressure from opponents before handing the ball to the actual taker at the last second. Villa did this in a match last season where Young held it for a while but then handed it over to Ings.

He only played 5 minutes though and stayed on the bench first match so looks like he's available to me. Even then you could say Digne is set to leave us but playing and Archer came on too.

They have Estupinan who seems decent too and Delap who is a decent prospect. That's why I was a bit surprised they want Davis.
