I've never actually seen Ings as one of those. He can drop deep and link the play as well as score. He got a couple of really nice assists for us like the one to Bailey for his debut goal v Everton. I think maybe it's more a case of teams tending to like a more physical, athletic forward these days.

Apparently he can play for DR Congo or Angola too. Not ideal but possibly get better coaching

IIRC it was a 3-0 loss at Wigan with Lovre Kalinic in goal. Bad times.

If there was a cheap clause surely someone would have activated it in June/July? Which makes me think there isn't one, or that's what I'm hoping anyway.

This has really overshadowed them winning the tournament which is a shame.

As others have said the fact that we are selling academy graduates to premier League and championship teams for decent money shows the academy is doing a really good job in recent years. Little bit of a shame that we never really saw much of Archer and he didn't even score a League goal for us but I think it's the right decision.

He will be facing different challenges in England to Spain though like physicality and speed of the game, so may take a bit of time to adjust to that.

I take it to mean our philosophy basically (and I don't particularly like that word) but the methods he uses and everybody buying in to them. From analysing the opponents meticulously to formulating a game plan for each opponent. But all still based on the same fundamental principles of how we play, like the shape, playing from the back, building with the 3 etc.

I did see that the ball had been in play an extra few minutes in the first 3 weeks compared to last season so maybe that's come into the thinking.
